Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

I am not trying to reserve all 19 people at once. I think there is only 1 restaurant (Tusker House) that all 19 of us have a reservation for the same approx time. I think arrival times span over 30 minutes. Overall, it's mostly party of 6-7's that I am trying to make...this has been pretty tough. I don't remember it being this difficult in years past. I got excited bc someone here was releasing large parties at two places we are trying to reserve but I did not land either. Oh well, there's still time. I keep reminding myself that we've gone with very few ADRs in the past and no FP (other than those made in the parks) and still had a blast. The planning, while fun and exciting when it goes right can also be exhausting sometimes. Still pumped about our trip!!!

It's on the 20th @ 4:25. We thought we were going to go to MVMCP that night, but decided to go the 15th instead. We thought it might be less crowded, although I am no longer so sure. As far as I can tell, there isn't a cancellation thread. Probably because it would be much harder to coordinate since you have to call and talk to a CM. Between being on hold and repeatedly asking the CM to check for the same time or not to cancel quite yet, it might not work so well.

It doesn't work with our schedule :(

Hi all!
Last trip I planned was at 11 months out for hotel. This time-11 weeks. I am a crazy woman! Thanks for all the help over in the reservations area.

Thank you all about the post notification info.

We also have an ADR for Garden Grill for the first time.
Kidsfirsttrip,
Your family enjoyed? How old is your crowd? My kids love Chip and Dale. But my college bff who's a Disney a fanatic said pass.
Suggestions?

Like I said GG was he only ADR my kids wanted to repeat and last time we did Chef Mickeys, H&V, TH, BOG, SciFi, and CRT. I found the food really good and the character interaction was hands down the best we had. Chip and Dale joked around and they all came by multiple times. They are 6&9 and were 5&8 last year.

Hi! When I search on MDE I get Cinderella's Royal Table comes up under heading "to call". It had been being listed under not available. When I called the rep said nothing was showing up available. Why would it come up to call ? Has anyone ever been able to book CRT thru MDE without calling

I've been getting that lately for random ADR searches I do as well. I just hit "find table" again and it usually works. Sometimes I get the message that it is unable to check or the call to make a reservation. I just search again. Not sure what prompts those weird messages.

It will come up if available on regular website not on the app. The call if available comes up on app only. Not sure if it ever shows available on app but if your looking for it best to search via desktop website

So, I am hoping that I just talked to a very misinformed CM today. I called to ask if MK table service restaurants planned to extend hours during MVMCP the way they had for MNSSH (not that I expected an answer that was more than, "That information hasn't been released yet). She then told me that they had opened the extended hours, reservations were only taken by phone, and that they were all already filled. She then told me that they were open until 11 at night (although maybe she thought I was talking about QS when I said how late are restaurants open).

I really hope this isn't true. I have been checking everyday for BOG to extend their hours during MVMCP.

I feel like we would have heard something about that on here. The MNSSHP was bookable on line. And if the restaurant hours had been extended it should still show the extended hours on the website, underneath the 'Find a Table' box. When I check my date it still says Dinner: 4:00 - 6:00.

I figured she was confused. I figured here was the place to check. If some one had gotten a time during the party, I was pretty sure he/she would jump in and tell us.

I'd have checked too if a CM told me all that! It is weird and I'm wondering what she was confusing your question with? I did go back and check the website for dinner times listed for MNSSHP and it clearly shows Dinner and then Dinner with special ticket events. And I don't see that on any of the days for MVMCP. I would imagine that if they extend hours they'll have to announce it soon...you'd think anyway.

Why is it so hard to get ADRs this year??? When did it become this difficult? My family is going in November and we only booked about 2 months ago but I don't remember it being this difficult in years past. I would like to go to some character meals with my kids but I can't seem to get into any of them, much less the good ones!

Does anyone know if the is Bibbiddi Bobbiddi Boutique cancellation thread? I have one to cancel; it doesn't work with our schedule anymore.

PM me the date if you still have this please! I'm looking for one!

I already coordinated with someone to drop it. Successfully too for once! I was worried since it involved timing up phone calls. I hope you can find one.

This might be a rediculous question but how do you PM someone? I am new to this site so I am still learning.

If you click on the person's name, a window pops up. You can them click on "Start a conversation." If you recently hit the ten posts, it can take a bit to set in. In the Cancellation thread, they don't want chatter, just cancellations so people don't get a bunch of unnecessary emails, so everyone is supposed to respond only with the PM/Converstions.

If you want to get emails for a thread, there should be a "Watch thread" link in the upper right just above the first post on the page that you can click and it will send you emails when someone posts, but it won't send you another email until you have gone to the thread to view the post. Hope this helps.
