Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

I think you are supposed to have a party ticket for BOG after 7 p.m. Not sure it will be enforced, but my confirmation has the following statement:
"Magic Kingdom® Park
blue-warning.png
Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for park entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event."
Thanks what everyone keeps saying that message should pop up but even after hours mine hasn't had the warning sign yet...I'm still looking for a time before though to be safe :) This whole BOG resie drops has given me hope lol

How much was the cab fare to GF? And that was from Epcot? Did you have to wait long for a cab? Do cabs take credit cards now or should I have cash?

Sorry, I don't know how much because the husband paid. He usually has cash and credit cards on him though. The cabs were there waiting.

I picked up a BOG at 7pm on one of the party nights cause I heard from a CM that they just escort you out after your done. Since the park closes at 7pm for everyone not going to the party (including myself) I can still make this reservation right?

You might not be let in, if you're already there, you might not get to eat as they do check for party wristbands that late and they can run a bit behind, and after you eat you will be physically walked by a CM to the front gate. You will not be allowed to shop, ride, or do anything else and if you try, it will be helpfully suggested that you buy a ticket as they continue to walk you out.

We ate at BOG during a party last year. We were in by 5, seated and finished by 5:45 including seeing the Beast, and out in time to have fun without worrying about huge lines, what my kid will be able to eat with food allergies and her general pickiness, and not having to worry about waiting to order food or finding seats in massive crowds at open quick service places. Most dining is closed during parties and what is open is a very limited menu. Be prepared to wait for a table and send a runner back to help the person who stands in line. The lines are very long during dinner hours and it can be packed and loud during the dance party.

Also while the hot chocolate is wonderful, the cookies are terrible haha

Ugh! I had a 5:20 reservation for our party night and dropped it a few weeks ago, as we decided when didn't want to waste a ton of party time. Hearing this makes me wish we didn't drop it cuz it sounds like we will have to wait that long for a QS!

Keep in mind that the CM, who may not be up to date since a lot of them seem to not be aware of everything that goes on since it changes so often, is probably going on information based on Halloween nights where the pre-event times are until 6:55. Since "normal" pre-event dinner times stop at 6:30 for MVMCP according to the posted schedule, I would try to find an earlier time. Given the walk to the gate, it was probably decided to keep the closer venues (CP and CRT that had 7 as their posted end time anyway) hours until the party started, but BOG, which is farther away, was changed.

I wonder why the ADR cancellation thread for November is so much more popular than September or October. Free dining was for the entire month of September so shouldn't there be more people dropping their reservations?

With character dining I know the general rule is to allocate ~1.5 hours for the entire meal but how much time should I expect with quick service dining? I wanted to go to Cosmic Rays on Nov. 14th (non-MVMCP day) for dinner and need to figure out an ideal time to go so we can make it in time for the parade. We have MSEP fastpasses and need to be at Town Square by 8:20PM.

I think Nov is busier because of the Food & Wine festival, half marathon, Jersey week, and thanksgiving break.

happy dance time! I've been looking for Minnie's with F! for our HS day and we just found one! :jumping1: the meal is less than a month away already--November is getting here fast!

good luck to everyone else still searching for their preferred meals. don't give up!

Congrats! That gives me hope. I'm still looking for that for our one and only HS day.

I'm going to post the ADRs I have to cancel right away (maybe 2 minutes!) over on the November cancellation thread. Not sure if they'll help either of you, but I'm thinking good thoughts for you both!

Thanks for the heads up; that's very kind of you. We won't be there for the dates you posted but I'm sure someone can use your ADRs. I'll keep looking.

Keeping an eye out for an Olivia's reservation at 2:00 on Thanksgiving - I always seem to spot it on the website but never move fast enough.

I am really hoping to snag a reservation on Nov. 29 for breakfast at CRT. I haven't seen any cancellations for it in the cancellation thread. Does anyone know how often cancellations occur for it? It is one of the smaller places in my opinion so maybe they rarely get a cancellation. has anyone managed to get a cancellation before?

The CM I just spoke to on the phone mentioned that CRT reservations can only be obtained over the phone. Only the initial time slots that are loaded onto the MDE website at the 180 day mark can be reserved online. If someone cancels their reservation, it will not show up for the public to see. I am not sure if this is accurate because it seems like the members of this forum are more knowledgable than the cast members working at the Disney call centre.

Anyone have any tips to getting Akershus breakfast for 5. Looking desperately for an opening. My DD is handicapped and doesn't eat but she wants to visit the Princesses. I missed out on my window to reserve and it is full due to free dining.

Just keep stalking the cancelation thread. I've also seen Akershus randomly come up when I searched for my dates so I don't think it's as hard as getting a CRT ADR. Good luck.
