It looks like you had a marvulous time. We havn't been in a long time, can't justify the cost for what you see/don't see. Free is awesome.

the last time we were there DS was free and DH got in for the kids price and we still paid over $60 to get it. Then calculate gas from Tracy (an hour and a half one way) food and souvinears. That was one pricey trip. I'ld rather go to Santa Cruz for the day.

I kind of chuckled when I thought about the fact that I was complaining about the price when I clearly pay more for Disney.

I just cannot justify to myself paying that much for a day trip.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi in the new chat thread, i hope everyone has fun tomorrow night for NYE, or tonight for our Aussie friends, i just got back from vacation to find every electrical machine in my house burnt out by a massive power surge, and yes they were all plugged into surge protectors, but still fried. it is weird, not even my microwave made it though, hopefully the insurance will hurry up and pay up, but i leave for WDW in 8 days so it looks like i will have to deal with it when i get back

I got to go to the movies last night. I saw The Tourist, I really liked it. It was snowing when the movie was over, this morning the ground is covered in snow. Watched The Other Guys on pay per view, very funny IMO.

I'm supposed to head home today but I may wait till tomorrow because the mountain will be safer to travel over.

That's how I feel. I always laugh when people say Disney is too expensive. I think you get way much more value, dollar for dollar at Disney. Not to say I dont like to do non-Disney trips, it's just that I think Disney is a relative bargain when you compare what you get at other tourist destinations.

We were invited to a party but decided to skip it and have the rest of the date night at a child-free home . We watched Splice (it was OK) and the ball drop, toasted with some red wine. Oh was it good? I love me some Johnny Depp, I am just not sure I can get over my dislike of Angelina Jolee, long enough to sit through it.

Oh was the snow beautiful? And I think you are smart to wait to drive down. Drive carefully and watch out for the nuts on the road.

Sounds like a nice way to spend New Years Eve. I watched Bette Midler on HBO and just hung out with DH.
