I wish I could come out with you two and play Still stuck in bed. I am bored out of my head. There is only so much "Trauma, life in the ER" a girl can watch.

i wish you could come out and play too! when i had my bunyon(sp??) surgery i was so bored! it stunk to be house bound.

we did or should i say I picked the colors. we had a huge fight over the breezeway colors that he will NEVER picked the colors again. i still wish he'd re-paint the breezeway! but my mother would say....you have to pick your battles. and pick the ones you know you can win!!!!

so my fireplace wall is camouflage green (which is the wall and the mantle and the trim- and the 3 other walls are light sage. i think it's going to look good when it's done. i took mom's end tables and antique lamp which is a maroon lamp with a green shade (very pretty- i must say) and i'll ditch my living room furniture and get a new set. we have had that same furniture since we got married. 25 years this past july. we bought it with our wedding $. can ya believe that. so it's seen better days. i can't wait to throw it out and rip up the rug and restore the hardwoods underneath.

I know what you mean about picking your battles...Everytime Dh does something that annoys me I take a deep breath and say to myself "He doesn't beat me, he doesn't gamble, he doesn't have another family in the next town over..."

I LOVE green - those colours sound great.

Sorry you're stuck in the bedroom TB. I just got back from ACM. I picked up the wrong cutter last week, so I had to exchange it.

I saw the trains and thought of Bubba.

Morgan has been invited to a friend's house to swim tomorrow, so I'll be dropping her off around noon. So, before would be better, I think. We'll do the movies some other time.

did any of you ever see the movie the big fat greek wedding?? and everything reverts back to the greeks! well that's my family. everything reverts back to my mother lately!
sunday nights growing up was our "big" night. we always had sunday dinners in the afternoon with special desert at night. we took showers and she did our hair in banana curls for monday morning at school and we stayed up to watch the wonderful world of disney. well sometimes our special desert was grape soda with vanilla ice cream and she would call it the "purple cow". so ever since you and i were at acm looking at them i've re-lived that memory a 1000 times. i just wanted to say *thank you* for that! i had long since forgotten it. so see right back to ma. funny how one thing will lead you to another!

We always watched Disney on Sunday nights too...
We are starting a tradition this month...two nights a month we are having Disney movie night leading up to our trip next summer!!! The kids thought of it!!! Who am I to argue..
we played Disney scene it last night..
Actually showed a movie I have never heard of.. "Tron"? Gotta try to find that to rent...

Holl, *those* are the kind of signs I'm talking about. Mom is all around you! In Purple Cows, Thursday Egg Salad, donuts on the first day of school, etc., etc. She'll never leave you, because she LIVES in you! Keep an eye and ear open, and you'll notice more as your grief subsides.

I did get the purple cow trimmer, but I didn't like it. It didn't have a real "straight" rotary cutter. I brought that one back and got another purple cow one (I haven't even tried it yet), thankfully all those replacement blades I got on clearance will still fit, I think I'll like this one better.

mom was looking for a collapsible crate on wheels that has a handle that she could bring things from her car to her apt and i could never find one. i walked into job lot friday and there they were. on sale. i bought one. i figured if i went to a crop i could put my stuff in it. and i could not walk by it. we looked so hard and long for one of them for her and could not find it. and there it was!

I got the 1040. Returned the 1060 and got the 1040. So far I like it better, but I need to get used to it. I'm sure I will, but it takes time

We are going come hell or high water. I need out of here for a while.. besides that... I need to celebrate the fact that one kid graduate school! LOL The kids are excited and b/c of some other things we as a family of 5 deserve the break and to get away and bond w/o intrusions!
