Dh wants to do it; kids or adults or both? Worth it? Too many people or not enough? Too crowded to see or not? See Round 1 is on Sunday (Eastern) - when are the other rounds? Do you have to "win" at Round 1 to be invited back?

Any input appreciated!

It is fun to watch and fun to participate. Yes, you have to win to go on to the finals. It is just a light velcro ball, so don't get excited about it being "real golf". Anyone can do it (child or adult) and most of it is luck, not skill. We happened to walk past when it started, so joined in and had fun. Another day, we also walked by and watched, again, it was fun to watch.

I'll talk to DH. He won the cumulative golf game. Seemed like there was something in the lobby each sea day. I think you come back at first, since each day was a different skill, or should I say, luck (second prize went to a fellow DISer who had only recently taken up the game). I only remember adults, but I think DH did try to get the kids to participate, check the old Navigators and see if it is logoed for adults only. I went with him one day. It was not very crowded, but did take a bit to get through each person. IMHO it certainly was not the most rousing spectator sport (but that can be said for any golf tourney.) The prizes were O.K. He got a couple golf balls, a WDW pencil cup shaped like a golf bag and a sports year book of some sort (which he gave away, golf is about the only sport he cares about.)

I do not golf but as I walked by the indoor main atrium I noticed my husband and friend along with friend's 12 year old son in the competition! So I signed up! Did not do well but our friends 12 year old son won! It is a game played with a wiffle ball and a green carpet with points on it that you try to hit the ball on to. only about 10 people playing when we did it quite entertaining but the serious looking golf types looked embarrassed when a 12 year old beat them!!
