My kids will be over there next week but you can check the threads on the Camping Disney

Bump. I'm interested in hearing everyone's opinion on this as well.

We did this last year and I figured we may not see them anywhere else. We took the boat from WL to FW. The kids enjoy it.

Go over to the Camping Board and check out the FAQs, everything you need to know about the campfire sing along is there. Movie listings are usually a sticky at the top of the board for the current month.

Because this inquiry is not about a restaurant, moving it to Camping which apparently has information about it.

My daughter is 4 and enjoyes the characters of course, but as far as the mashmellow toasting goes, your better off buying your own and toasting them on the grill at the site instead. There are so many un-suppervised children at times running around with a stick and a molten marshmellow just waiting to run into another child. Other than that, it's a great activity for the kids

The campfire and singalong is a lot of fun. The fires are lit about 745pm and it starts at 8pm with the singalong. The location is at the center of Fort Wilderness across the lake from the Meadow Trading Post near the bike barn. Chip and Dale come out and there are songs for about 40 minutes while they come to you for pictures and autographs. Typically Chip will take the left half of the audience to visit and Dale the right or visa versa; point is you won't greet both unless you meet one then hustle to the other side. But there is no rush because they will meet and greet everyone.

There is a movie shown starting about 8:40 pm every night and there is a sticky note at the top of the camping board that list the month's movies. They typically are are posted at the end of the month or a day or two into the month's listings. So around June 30 or July 1 someone will post the July schedule.

You can bring your own marshmellows and sticks or buy a set of stuff to make s'mores and other stuff at the chuck wagon right behind the bleachers. Costs IMO are reasonable by Disney standards. We've also done hot dogs. It can be crowded right at 8pm but you can wait 15-30 minutes when the crowd around the fire dies down. Sometimes they even build two fires, one on either side of the stage.

If you have kids they will enjoy it. It is a nostalgic event and it's free so come, relax, and experience it.

PS-welcome to the camping boards, BTW.

Yeah, it isn't published anywhere... it is just posted on the bulletin boards around the Fort (usually on the evening of the last day of the month) then some Fiend must transcribe the list and post it online. I would not expect it before the last or the first of the month.

:santa:

My daughter loved the campfire singalong. She loved singing with Chip and Dale and having her picture taken with them. We plan on doing it again the next time we are at the Fort.

We just got home from our first trip to Disney and camping at Fort Wilderness. My vote is yes try to do the Chip and Dale sing a long. We waited in rain and some storms on our last night there to do this (we tried another night and it got rained out) and the kids loved it. We had 5 kids there ages 8,7,5 and they had a ball. We got pictures with both Chip and Dale on the back porch due to the rain. The front desk had told us they would not be there so we were very pleased when we went anyway and they were there. The sing along was fun and the movie was ok. We left the movie early to go watch the water parade and see the fireworks from the marina beach.

My family of 3 kids at the time loved it! My advise bring your own marshmellows, grab a few weenies, and have fun!!! Be sure to get those really long sticks though...we brought the smaller ones, and almost burned our arm hairs..lol!! They sell the smore pack at Iparty, and a few other places, it comes with the super long sticks, mellows, and choc, and graham crackers!!!
But, the show before hand, pics with chip and dale..then a movie, its just nice, slow paced, ya get to see a movie a huge screen..the only drawback, bring bug spray just in case! But, have fun!!!:thumbsup2

Yes it is well worth the time. We went to it 3 nights of our 10 day stay. Word of advice BRING BUG SPRAY!!!!!!! I got eat up one night by the skeeters.
