Chip and Dale

Are Chip and Dale usually listed on the schedule for character meet and greets, or do you have to catch them somewhere in the park? Do they normally hang out in particular area? My daughter is a big fan and we will be looking for them! Thanks.

I know that they hang out around the Town Square area in Disneyland quite a lot, and sometimes in Toon Town. I think they pop up other places in the parks, too, but those are the ones where I have seen them most often, for sure.

Also, Chip & Dale are quite the prolific little character meal guest stars - they appear at the Minnie & Friends meal in Disneyland, at Storytellers Cafe's Critter Breakfast in the Grand Californian Hotel and at Goofy's Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel.

The Visa Meet & Greet info is out of date since the characters have changed for that.

Chip and Dale were out frequently in Town Square in Disneyland and Buena Vista Street in DCA when we were there last month. They can also be seen at the Storyteller's character breakfast in the GCH and often Minnie's breakfast at the Plaza Inn in Disneyland. If you're having trouble finding particular characters, you can ask the information CM at the wait board in either park or a CM at City Hall in Disneyland or whatever they've named the equivalent (basically guest relations) in DCA. They can look up the day's schedule for you.

Saw Chip and Dale on 3 separate days last week in the Town Square in DL. Also saw them in the Storyteller's Cafe.

We saw them on 2 different days coming out of the castmember entrance near first aid and the corn dog wagon. Be sure to check out the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree area too. We caught them there and DD got to color with them!

I've seen them almost every time I'm going through BVS in DCA lately.

If in doubt, just ask at city hall or one of the cm's with the "ask me about characters" button (they are the ones with the characters, making sure everyone is in line, cutting it off when they are leaving, etc...). They will tell you when and where to find them.

A thought...maybe you could switch your one character meal to Goofy's Kitchen? That way you'd see Chip & Dale as well as a couple of Princesses (there are usually 2 Princesses onsite at any given time - I've seen Mulan, Aurora, Jasmine, Cinderella, Belle and Snow White in different groups of 2) and whoever else is there too. Kind of a compromise! Goofy's isn't any more expensive than Ariel's, I don't think - they are both considered "premium" dining.

Well, that's a thought, but the main reason we do Ariel's is for the kids' dessert. Comes with a chocolate shell with berries and about 3 other mini chocolate desserts that my kids have very fond memories of. Not sure I can talk them out of that. It may be worth a try, though. Thanks!

They were both at the Country Jamboree all 3 days we were there. They had time to dance with my daughter, teach her to lasoo (or try) and to color with her. By far the hidden gem of Disneyland!!!

They are also often at DCA near the entrance.

BUT, I highly recommend the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree.
You will find many characters, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Chip & Dale, Horace horsecollar, and Clarabelle Cow.

Often, on even the busy days, there will be nobody for the Characters to have fun with.
Like the poster above found, instead of waiting in a 20 minute line for a quick picture, you can play and have a lot of fun with them.

I agree, Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree is a great place to find them. If not, and you're not doing a character meal, then Town Square is where I see them most often.

I've only seen them at Goofy's Kitchen. They are too funny! Great at really interacting with the guests.

We used to catch them at the Visa Meet & Greet in DCA. Sadly, it's now Minnie & Stitch. No more Pluto & Chip & Dale which are DS' favs.

Last time I was there I seem to recall some Chip & Dale merchandise at the little store near GRR in DCA. Perhaps give that a try?

I've never had any luck with finding them wandering about in DL. But did see them at the Bugs Land character stop along with Pluto several years ago. Sure would be great to catch them this trip as DS loves them so!

In general, you don't have to try very hard to find chip and dale. They are one of the more prolific walk around characters. But I generally see them most often around main street and town square. Especially in the mornings.

That's great to know! We were planning on doing that, so now it's definitely on the list!
