childrens place jeans

This is a budget question
I remember reading somewhere about a store that would let you get a new pairs of jeans (as long as they were the same exact size) if the jeans got holes before the child out grew them.
I dont think I am crazy I am thinking it was the Childrens Place jeans but I cant find that info anywere. I tried doing a search here but couldnt find it.
Am I nuts or does anyone know if this is true? DS has holes in the knee of jeans he got 3 months ago! I got them a bit big hoping he could wear them next fall too. Boys are sure hard on their stuff! BTW....... he has other brands of jeans that are older and no holes in them. I am not tring to "cheat" . I just expected them to last longer then 3 months )

Sears has the childrens clothes program that if the item wears out before the child outgrows it, they will replace it.

Darn! my son also has a pair of 3 month old CP jeans that have huge holes in the knee.

Oh, well, guess I'll go to sears next time!

Yup it's sears. I love that policy. My kids go through clothes like crazy. works good on winter jackets too. I had a zipper break on one jacket at the end of the season and I got a brand new jacket for free. My jackets I always like to buy big for my girls so they get at least 2 seasons out of them. So now my oldest has a brand new jacket for next year. Works on shoes too!

I cannot tell you how many times I've taken advantage of the Sears guarantee. Jeans and sneakers only last about 3 months in our house.

My boys are soooo rough on their clothes. I bought Sketchers sneakers there in January and my son already got a hole in them.

They replaced the sneakers for me last weekend, no questions asked! I still had the receipt but they didn't even bother to look at it!

Sears is the only place I buy my kids clothes. I love them!

Kmart used to do that....but even though it IS from Children's Place, take them into the store and see what they will do.

The same thing happen with DS jeans from TCP - I was so mad. They are really on only jeans that fit him well, he is so skinny but tall!

I bought ds a 3-in-1 jacket there before this school year, and it got a big hole in the outer layer like a month later. He has still been wearing the inside layer, but if I would have known this, I could have gotten him a new one. I was so upset about it, I cried, lol. I worked extra hours just to be able to afford this coat, and I bought it big for him so he could wear it 2 years, and then it was ruined a few weeks later. Did I mention it tore because a bully pushed him on the playground and he fell? (DS is in kindergarten.)

Is there a place I can go to see the rules of this program? Is it for every Sears, or just select ones?

I read that article (it's from 1991), and it says the program doesn't cover shoes.

They must have changed the program since it first started, because KidVantage definitely covers shoes now. You can't go wrong at Sears!

I believe TCP does it also. And the Gap. I am not sure if it is holes in the knees or what qualifies them but I have switched out a pair at the Gap where the closure has broken.

I have had tons of luck TCP jeans but our last pair after 3 washes got a hole. I just decided it was good to have a pair with hole and they became our old pair. It was too far to go and switch them out.
