I wanted to let anyone know who live near a Children's PLace outlet that all fall and winter merchandise is going to $1.99 markdown. Spring is still 30% off. Fall will be a flat $1.99 markdown.

Thanks for the info. This is just at the outlets?

I hope it's still happening by Saturday, since that's when I'll be near a Children's Place Outlet. Thanks for the info!

I just called the Children's Place outlet in Wrentham , MA and they are having the $1.99 sale today. I forgot to ask how long it will last, but I will ask when I go there today and post back.

eeyore kelly, thanks for the heads up!!!

alright...I'm back from the outlet. I got 2 bags of stuff for $79. Here's the breakdown:

2 velour skirts
2 knit sweaters
4 long sleeve tops
1 long sleeve dressy button down top

all for $1.99 ea and then I got these for 30% off:

3 pair of capris
2 skorts
1 sweatshirt
3 sleeveless tops
1 t-shirt

Thank you so much for posting!!!

The sale will last at least through the weekend.

WOW! :earseek: Thank you so much for posting this! We went to the one by our house last night and bought $371 worth of clothes for only $46!!! An awesome sale! :Pinkbounc Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! :teeth:

Spent $50 and got two HUGE bags packed with clothes! I'm writing this down in next year's calendar to make sure I don't miss it in 2006.

Does anyone know about what time they have the summer stuff at $1.99?
Sometime in September, I would imagine.

Edited later in the day to add: Wouldn't you know it! In the mail TODAY (after I got home) was a coupon for 25% off when I use my Children's Place card! That would have been $12.5 off of today's purchase. :sad2:

Do you live close to the store? For $12.50, I'd be tempted to talk to a Manager and say "listen, I can bring all this stuff back and rebuy it with the coupon, or you could just make an adjustment". Most customer friendly stores wouldn't hesitate to just give you a refund of the difference.

Let us know. I've only been to a Children's Place store once, but this thread has inspired me. I'll be in Nashville this afternoon and have scouted out their location there. Hope to find some bargains.

I'm going back today. I hope they will honor the coupon on the previous sale. Most places will (within a certain time frame) bc. they know that, like you said, technically you could return everything and re-buy it using the coupon. I'm going to ask. At any rate..........I'll be buying more today. :teeth:

What sizes do they sell at Children's Place? I am sure of course my DS2 would be covered, but my DD7 wears at least a 10/12. Do their sizes go that high? I may need to make a trip this weekend, too, if so. (obviously I have never been!)

TIA :goodvibes

they have sizes from newborn all the way up to size 14. My DD7 also wears size 10 - 12 and the clothes there are so darn cute! I can always find age appropriate outfits for her there (unlike many other stores that sell clothes for little girls that look like they belong on a "street walker" )

Thanks, cepmom! I have the same problem finding clothes for my DD. I think we will definitely be making a trip this weekend!!

OK....I got the adjustment but it was NOT easy!!

I put on my friendliest face and told the sales clerk(female) my story. She asked the other clerk (female) who snipped, "No we don't do that!" I said, "That's odd, most stores do." and walked away and began shopping. I bumped into the manager (male) and struck up a short conversation w/ him. Then I told him the coupon story. He said, "Well, it's true we don't usually do that but since you got the coupon the very day of the purchase, I'll allow it." He goes over to the second sales clerk and talks to her. She says to him, "I already told her 'No'! " He says, walking away, "Just do it." I hand her my receipt and she snidely says, "You know we are making an exception here. This is not allowed. That is why 'we' print it on the coupon!" There was more that she said, but I forget it now. She was all around about the farthest thing from "Customer Friendly" as you can get. I kept thinking, "I probably will never see you again in my life, what do I care if you are in a huff over this. Save yourself the aggrivation and calm down."

Funny, this so fit the pattern. When it comes to these sorts of things, I always get a "Yes" from men and a "No" from women! :confused3

It's nice to know I'm not the only mom in the world who feels this way!

I refuse to let my DD4 dress provacatively. It seems like once she went from 4T to sz 5 (that is what I'm guessing she will be next fa../winter) it got a lot more difficult to find sweet clothes for my sweet girl.

They grow up too quickly as it is, why not let them dress like little girls while they still ARE?

Call the toll free customer hotline. Have your receipt ready and read them the info printed on the very bottom of your reciept. CP is a very customer service first place, and they would love to know about the rudeness of the associate. Believe me it will be taken care of.

preemie to 14 like others have posted. CP sizes run a little big though. Except shoes, they run a little small.
