Okay so I've gotten the disigners to make me a bunch of disney shirts for the kids. I've also made epcot passports, and autograph books then it has come to my attention that I have not planned for any IDs for my children. I've heard about the lanyards and maybe the livestrong bracelets.

I'm just looking to hear what you guys have done for your kids in the past. My girls are 4 and 7. I'm not 100% sure we will be carrying a cell phone in the parks. Do you guys usually carry your phones?

Thanks,
debbie

I used tattoos on DS in August. They worked great, and I have enough to use for next August too. They stayed on pretty well, even in the pool, bath, sweating, sunscreen` so I only used one every other day.

DH and I both carry our phones in the parks, just in case of an emergency. Plus if we get seperated, we can call each other to see where the other is!

We used Whos shoes ID's. Not sure how to add a link but you can Google it and it pops right up. I'd take my phone with me for sure. If the kids are seperated from you you'd want to be able to be contacted right away.

We always carry our phones - too many times we've been standing 20 feet apart from each other saying "where in the ______ is he? He was supposed to meet me right here!" We also will split up the family - my daughter wants the Tiki Birds - my son isn't having any of that - my son wants PotC, my daughter would rather skip it. But we each have a cell phone. If we only had one cell it wouldn't get used much.

As to ID, we used to write the cell phone number in Sharpie on them. Another easy idea is to swing by the pet store and have pet tags made.

Thanks to advice on this board, we went our first day at MK and went to the store near the Firehouse (near Main Street). There is a dog tag engraving machine with Disney characters on one side and the other side is the engraving information. My DD6 got a Tink tag and my DD3 got a Mickey tag with their names and our cell #'s on it. We got the chain to go with it and they wore them as necklaces every day. We told them if they got lost to find a CM and show them the tag.

It worked great and they thought it was cool.

We also have dog tags for our kids. We ordered them from home though. They just have names and mine and dh's cell numbers on them. They think they're cool!

My kids are 8 and 6 and they're confident enough to stay put until a CM finds them- the tags are just for if they panic and can't remember our number.

I have a friend who attaches a dog tag to her sons shoe lace.

I love the tattoo or sharpie idea for small children though!!

I was going to suggest tattoos too. We have a pack of SafetyTats that I'm bringing.

And we carry our cell phones, too.

We do carry our cells. When DS was 5, we made a tag at the pet store to tie to his sneaker laces, with "Mom's Cell Phone - nnn-nnn-nnnn" on it. We pointed out what the CM's looked like in each park, and told him if he was lost to find one of those people and show them his shoe. He found that funny enough that I figured he would remember and not panic.

I just made my children some dogs tags on Artscow.com. I put our family picture on one side (so there would be no mistaking which family they belonged to :lmao: ). And I put our cell phone numbers on the other side. They were only $1.99 shipped using code 99dogtag. This is an overseas company out of Hong Kong so I would recommend using Paypal. Some people on the budget board have used them for other things and there orders came out good so I felt ok about using them.
