Children wearing Disney costumes

I was wondering if it is common/acceptable for children to wear a Disney costume/outfit on the cruise, attending events, or during mealtimes at the restaurants. I have seen it done at the parks. I have a daughter that loves to wear her Disney costumes (MinnieMouse dress, Jasmine costume, etc.) and has enjoyed doing that when we visit the Disney parks, but since we have never done a cruise, does anyone have any info on this? It would be an outfit that is comfortable and not long enough to drag on the floor or trip. Thanks ahead for any info!

I saw lots of little girls wearing their Disney costumes on the cruise and one little boy dressed up in a Buzz costume. My daughter was sad that she didn't bring one of her princess dresses to wear.

I don't think my daughter would have come if she couldn't wear one of her costumes! She loves being a "Princess" and there were other on the cruise as well - She will be bringing them along for her next cruise as well -

Many little girls wear their Princess costumes for formal night instead of a regular dress. If have seen Bell, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, etc. They all looked so cute and I bet it would make for wonderful photos.

So may little cinderella's, belle's and snow whites wandering around on formal night... it is too cute.

By the way - they sell the costumes on the ship in the gift shops - I don't think they were unreasonably priced - about the same as what you would pay at the Disney Store or the park shops...

Dressing in her princess dresses was a highlight of my DD cruises. It added so much to the magic. And it does make for some precious photos. Personally, I for one will be horribly disappointed when she decides she is too old for dress-up. Hope it takes years.

DD wore her Belle costume for semi-formal night & we saw many little ones dressed up.
