We are a family of six, will one child under the age of three. You cannot have more than five guests at RPR. Are we ok then, basically five plus an infant?

If I were you I would call the hotel directly, for the answer to this question.

The Universal hotels are not like Disney. Everyone in the room counts toward the total, no matter how young.

I'd call the hotel. But I doubt it matters. The rooms are supposed to sleep 5. And the under 3 set, get special consideration at most resorts and parks.
More than likely they would just count your group as five.

This is where I am getting conflicting anwers. If you go on www.univactions.com, there is a spot on the top right hand side to plan your trip (enter dates, number of people etc.).

If you click on "Number of Children (under 18)" this is what it will tell you --

"Enter the number of children traveling on your vacation. Ages 4 through 17 are considered children for your vacation. "

That being said, under 4 years of age do not count.

Im speaking from experience. We stay at Universal everytime we go to Orlando. We have a family of 6. We started staying there when our 2 youngest were 2 years old and 5 months old. They are now 5 yrs old and 7 years old and they have counted toward the room total every visit--we go once or twice a year.

Now children 3 and under do not need a park ticket so that might be the conflicting info. We never did a package deal. We use our AP to get a passholder rate on a room.

So where do you stay with you family of six? By the way we have 4 boys as well!

Do you end up having to get two joining rooms then?

We stay onsite, we just get 2 connecting rooms. We have AP's so we get a discount and depending on what time of year you go you can get a really decent rate. Oct is peak season there due to HHN so the discount is less. Normally RPR is the cheapest with the discount. Im really spoiled with the FOLT you get for staying onsite and Im not sure I could stay off site now, plus its so easy to just head back to the room anytime you want.

My boys are 19, 17, 7 and 5 so 2 rooms really work best for us anyway. The little ones are noisey in the am and the teens are noisey in the pm, lol.

I went through Loews hotels website. The ask for total number of children, they don't differentiate between the ages. You may get stuck with an additional free for another person in the room? I would call and speak to the onsite agents to find out.

That really sucks!
