Children under 3 question....

We are going May 7th-14th. My DD will be turning 3 at the end of May, but will still be 2 while in Disney. Do we need to bring a birth certificate or any other proof of her age while we are there? She is small, but she talks extremely well for her age - possibly giving the impression that she is older. Thanks!

I've never brought my son's birth certificate when he was 2 and they never asked to see it. My son talks well for his age too and when asked how old he was, he said everything from 2 to 30. You'll be fine.

My son was 1 month shy of his 3rd b-day when we went last September, and they never asked for anything!!

No you don't need proof. The cm's sometimes ask the children how old they are. I guess the reasoning is that children will usually tell the truth. If you're child is too young to answer -- well I guess that's a good enough answer for the under three set.

When my DD's were 2, they were both big for their age and spoke very well. Occasionally a CM would ask how old the girls were, but we were never asked for proof.

We have been there twice with DS when he was 18 months and 3. They never checked for proof, and no CM's even asked how old he was.

Even when my very very tall son was 4 and nearly 5 quite often we didnt use the pass to get him in (by mistake!). He has his annual pass, but at that point we used to take his stroller with us.. sometimes it was easier to leave him in the stroller and not put his ticket through. DH was in charge of stroller pushing and he just wouldnt bother sometimes if the queues were long!!


No one ever asked. Of course we had a ticket should they have asked to see it.

You will be just fine.

Wow, I just came here to ask the same question, thanks for beating me to it! We will be taking our 2 1/2 year old grandson for the first time in June, and he is big for his age. It's good to know that I won't have to take along his birth certificate after all.

What about in the buffet or family style-restaraunts, anyone have a problem with them getting their meal for free?

My two year old is big for her age and we have eaten at Crystal Palace several times and they never asked how old she was. When we made the ps we told them we had a two year old and that was the only time it came up.

We were at the Wilderness Lodge Whispering Canyon a few weeks ago, and they didn't mind my (small for age) 2y 10m old sharing my all-you-can-eat BBQ, and didn't ask for proof of age.

On our last trip this past Decemeber our youngest DD was 2 (she turned 3 a month ago). She is tiny but she eats a lot more than our 4 year old DD and at every buffet she had plates of food. At the Crystal Palcae we were charged for her, even though we told them her age when we made the reservation!!! After that, we made sure the waiter/waitress knew her age so we didnt get charged.

When you check-in at the restaurants' front desk, they'll fill out a card with your information and ages of the kids. So, just make sure the under 3 is marked as under 3 and you'll be fine.
