children needing own passports

Does anyone know when this is going to change ?
I have heard that families have been turned away from u.s.a because the child was on the adults passport
Also does it apply to anywhere else ?

Hi, I was sure I'd read about this somewhere, so I did a search and found a thread started by CJC on 1/7/2003 (if you go to page 2 of the trip planning forum - UK visitors you will find it). I tried to put a link to it on this reply but it didn't work! Sorry.

There was a programe during the BBC new's this morning about it, it start's October 1st this year

As far as is known, this applies to ALL of America,not just florida.
