We visited WDW last year and DD had a blast at the kids clubs. I understand there used to be a kids club at GC but it's closed now. Are there any options for kids club/activities? Would just be great to have a little adult time on the trip! Even something like the pirate cruise at WDW would be great. Thanks!

We've hired in-room sitters a few times. Other than a friend or relative, that's basically your only choice. Even Pinocchio's workshop is defunct.

I've never used a service like this but I remember seeing this website (she also has Facebook) but may be a great option if you want someone in the park! I'm almost considering it because my son is only 2 so we will have to ride solo on any "big kid" rides!

Disney has a list of private contractors that you can hire for babysitting. We hired one for 4 hours last time we were there and it was the best date me and hubby have ever had. I was worried my daughter would be upset but she loved it (5 yrs old). I really wish I had our sitter' s name but she was like a fairy godmother. She even had our 1 yr old down for the night when we got back.

Nanny in the kingdom sounds great but 6 hr minimum? And her rates seem kinda pricey to me (we pay our regular baby sitter $12/hr).
Too bad about the kids club being defunct. :(
I'll look into the babysitting option but this just might be a family trip :) Thank you!

We MAY be getting a sitter on our upcoming trip depending on how things work out. I have sitter specifics in one of my TRs... I'll go look..

I usually bring my teen niece with us to help with my granddaughter. But we have also used Fullerton Childcare. They have been around for a LONG time (my son is 29 and we used them when he was a toddler.) My nephews loved it when they sat for them so we could do an adult dinner.

It sounds like Nanny in the Kingdom is more for helping a family in the park.

The Nanny in the Kingdom thing is intriguing to me. I don't know if I would ever use it but handy to know!
