Hi Everyone!
We are planning to make a quick trip out to DLR for the first DAD event on the 18th. It's just me, my husband, and our daughter who is 4. Being from Denver, she doesn't make it as late through the night- honestly, we are lucky if she makes it to fireworks. Normally, not a huge deal, she's a pro at sleeping in the stroller now- but for the event- it's really going to have a damper on the two of us being able to ride and enjoy the night.

So, I'm thinking about possible childcare options- I've done some searches but most of the posts are a bit older- so I thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone had recommendations for an agency that would hang out with her until possibly 1:30 in the morning in the hotel room.

Any experience?

Thanks!

We used destination sitters on our trip the end of November. Our kids are 6 & 8 and besides school, they have only had 3 other sitters at our house. I was a little worried but it was our 20th anniversary and decided to go for it.
We had the sitter from 4:30 until 9:30 at the DLH. Her PArking was validated by hotel. They send you info. About your sitter once it’s booked. I didn’t like that she had only worked for the company 4 months but she had previous sitting experience. 22 Year’s old and a college student. She brought games and coloring books for the kids. They said she was very nice and they had fun. Kids put on their own pajamas and were ready for bed when we got back. She stayed in touch with us via text.

I think it was $24 hour, minimum 4 hours plus I tipped.

Last May we used Molly Coddlers and were very satisfied. I booked about a week out and had great communication from the owner and had a confirmed sitter who was a young college student. The sitter arrived early with brand new board games and other activities for our 4 year old. Disneyland hotel validated her parking. My daughter loved it and talked about the sitter for a week afterwards. I was somewhat skeptical of using a sitter while on vacation but she had a far better time playing at the hotel than sitting at a long dinner with us.

We've used them twice. Always a great experience. Used them at both the Grand and DLH. I had a review in one of my TRs .

These are great suggestions! Thank you so much!

I'm a little apprehensive because she can be a little reluctant around new people- but it sounds like you have all had good experiences! Plus, she'll probably crash pretty early.... I think it's definitely worth it :)
