We will be visiting Disney in June with our three kids. My oldest dd had a rough time when we went two years ago, before we knew she had some of her health issues.

She has mild asthma, made worse with exercise, and GERD. She also has a leaky heart valve. She doesn't do well with being in the sun (she gets pale and shaky and just cannot tolerate it) so we have her wear a sun hat and loose cotton clothes. She does fine normally and usually has no issues, its just the walking for long periods combined with heat and no shade. She thinks it's hot no matter what the temp if the sun is shining.

Hopefully this year will go better than last time, but I'm looking for tips to keep her cool, especially when there is no shade in the lines. We have a sun hat, and I plan to get her one of those spray mist fans. I'm just looking for any other tips that will make this easier for her this time.
TIA!

Go early; leave; go back late.

If she's young/small enough, consider a stroller (even a special needs stroller) or, if older/bigger, a juvenile or adult wheelchair. It won't help with the heat part, but it'll prevent her from getting tired from walking. Go to Guest Relations and get a "stroller as wheelchair" tag so you can take it through the lines.

MOST attractions' waiting areas are in the shade. The ones that aren't - i.e. Dumbo, Aladdin, the Chester & Hester ride in AKL, etc. - don't have any shaded waiting area so there's probably no alternative access or waiting area.

See the FAQ 'sticky' at the top of this forum.

I too was going to recommend the stroller as a wheel chair. We deal with a heat intolerance, and our doctor recommended least a cooling vest. We found one online and it helps a lot. We also keep one of the spray bottels that has afan on it. If she needs a break and needs to rest you can go by the first aid station and they will give her a place to cool off and rest.

DD has pulmonary stenois and has a hard time in the heat, she is only 5 so we can get away with keeping her stroller with us but we were also given one of these from a friend last trip and it really helped keep her cooler we soaked it overnight everynight
