Hi Everyone,new to the forum
Off to Disney in May and in need of some help.
Myself and the family are looking around the sites for 14 Day Ultimate Tickets etc but i am not sure wether to buy a adult ticket or a child one for my 9 year old.The thing is she is 9 when we leave the UK but turns 10 while we are over in Florida.I know all the Child tickets state ages 3-9,is this on arriving or on the return?
While i am on does anybody know of any good, reliable, cheap sites that we can purchase the tickets from.
Your help will be greatly appreciated

Regards

no doubt you will get a lot of replies on this subject, i think if your dd is 9 when she 1st uses the ticket then its fine to get her a child ticket :thumbsup2

oh and welcome to the dis x x

I looked everywhere for my tickets...and virgin holidays are £50 cheaper then anywhere else at the moment!!!!!! So deffo purchase with them!! www.virginholidays.co.uk

Cant help of the child ticket front though!!!!!!

Welcome to Dis!! xx

Definitely need a child ticket, as that is how old she will be on 1st use. It is then upto you wether to continue using it after she has turned 10 or goto guest relations and they will swap it for an adult ticket free.
We still have very old child tickets, when DS was 12 we took a child ticket to Guest relations and they swapped it. Unless they have changed their policy recently Disney will not penalise a child for growing up.

I had a similiar issue with my daughter she is 2 so doesnt need a tocket but she turns 3 while we are out so would need one !! I emailed disney who told me that if she was 2 on the 1st day of our holiday she didnt need one for the days that she was 3 !!
I would have tought on that basis that you would be fine with a child ticket as its the same principle. If ur worried contact disney they are very propmt at emailing back .

We had this happen on our last trip and we were told by Disney to just carry on using the child ticket for the duration of our vacation. We also had DDP and she carried on choosing from the child's menu.

I heard that as well, if your child is a child when you first use the ticket then she will be fine for the holiday. We were once in Flordia when our DD turned 3 on the last few days. When we asked Disney they said don't worry about it and not to bother buying a ticket. They don't check the child's age, so you will be fine with a child's ticket.

Yep her child ticket will be good throughout as she starts the holiday age 9

Don't forget to check out the 'What are you celebrating' promotion if you go to a Disney Park on her birthday as she'll get a treat. A day's free entry/gift card to that value seem to be the best offer
