My twin girls will be turning 10 in the middle of our trip to Disney.Buying tickets in advance for Feb.Adult tickets start at 10 and over.Do i buy 2 child tickets since they are 9 half the time. How does Disney check the age.How does this work.

if your child will be 9 at the beginning of the trip then you only need the childs tickets. There is no need to switch to adult tickets when they turn 10 if that will be in the middle of your trip.

Your tickets should reflect the age that your children are on the first day the tickets are used. So ... if your daughters will be nine years old on the first day that you will be going to WDW, you purchase the child tickets and use them throughout the trip. Disney does not "penalize" your daughters for growing up, and will not have a problem with you using the child tickets for them for the remainder of the vacation.

If you're not going to the parks until after your daughters turn 10, regardless of when your actual vacation starts, then you purchase the adult tickets.

first, buy the child ticket....it will save you some money. use it at least once (since they turn 10 in the MIDDLE of your trip). Then i believe your options are to keep it or upgrade it to an adult's ticket. Since there isn't much difference looking at a 9 yrold and a 10 yrold, i would stick with the child ticket and if you don't use all the days this trip, you can always upgrade it for an adult ticket for your next trip! I am sure someone else will come along with another idea!
