We will be visiting Disney the first week of June. My wife will be about 3 months pregnant at that time and we are scared of her riding any "thrill" rides. I will be traveling with two 7 year-olds. Is there some sort of swap so that they both can ride with me or do we have to go to the end of the line. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

yes, there's a swap. Talk a CM before you get in line and they'll give you passes to do this.

By the way - on Space Mountain, Dinosaur, and Tower of Terror (as well as any simulator rides like Star tours and mission space) you won't need to bother as all seats are singles. You'll just need to do this for Thunder mountain, Expedition Everest and Rockin Rollercoaster

It took me a second to understand what you wanted to do. You want to be able to ride next to each 7-year old without having to wait twice. I would talk to the CM at the start of the line about it. You probably will not get a child swap pass because your kids will be tall enough to ride. Child swap passes are reserved for children who are too short to ride.

My guess is that your whole family will enter the queue (standby or fast pass) and that your wife and child #2 will wait near the exit (or another assigned place) while you ride with child #1. Then you get off the ride and are "back-doored" into the ride with child #2 while your wife waits with child #1.

Child swap is for those who do not meet the height requirement.

I would just get 4 Fastpasses. Ride with one child; then ride with the other.

I have another child swap question. My DD is to short to ride some rides, so if we use child swap can my DS ride twice? For example if my DH and DS ride Star Tours can we use the child swap for me and DS to ride?

I believe that would work for most rides, however, I believe Star Tours is one of the only rides that still does their swapping the old fashioned way; at the ride itself.

For most rides though, if you get 2 FP and a child swap pass, DH can ride with older child with the 2 FP and then you can ride with older child with child swap pass as it's good for up to 3 guests so the parent doesn't have to ride alone.

Yes you can! Your child swap fast pass is good for up to three people :).

Oops, I see that maybe you can't do that on Star Tours. You'll have to play it by ear and ask the CM before you enter the queue or pick up your fast passes.

Splash Mountain gives you a child swap pass that is only good for 1 person, so if you ask for a swap there, make sure you get 1 ticket for each person.

Can you let the kids ride together and you behind them.

We have but not when they were younger. I think there might be an age limit like age 7 I think but I'm not 100% sure.

My girls are 7 and 10 and have rode together.

There are a lot of rides where all 3 of you can ride in one seat, on both Splash Mtn. and Thunder Mtn. this is the case (ToT, Mission Space, Test Track all seat at least 3 across) . In fact, I can't think of any thrill rides where you would have a problem, maybe Space Mtn. but then again your 7 yr. olds may not want to do it anyway (mine doesn't). I'd just plan on getting in line the normal way or use FP. Your wife can wait with you if she wants then take the chicken exit out. :)

Space mountain everyone rides single file, so no matter what you do - the kids won't be able to sit 'next' to you. In any event, I sort of get what you're asking...but for most rides, if you aren't sitting right next to both daughters, you'll be in the row immediately in front of them. (and really this isonly true of the three rides mentioned above: BTMRR (2 together max), EE (2 together seatbelted), and Rn'R(?)) With many kids this wouldn't be an issue, with some I suppose it could be, but at all rides, the CM's will ask how many are in your party and try to keep you together as much as possible, esp when they see two little ones. They aren't going to split you up totally.

I'm also not quite clear what the other poster was saying about Dinosaur, Star Tours, ToT, and M:S being individual seats...yes, each seat has it's own seatbelt, but the seats are still in rows on those rides. The rows are more than three seats wide. The CM's will be certain to put you in the same row with your kids on those rides.

There is def. a Child Swap.. Make sure to speak to a CM upon entering the ride...

BTMRR (2 together max), [/COLOR

BTMRR has seats wide enough for 3, unless you're a really big guy. My Dh can still ride with both of our girls, and they're 10 & 14. Just be warned that the bar will only go down as far as your thighs allow it, and will probably not come anywhere near the kids'.
