Child swap Diagon alley

Is the child swap the same for the new ride as it is for the HP forbidden journey castle ride? Same procedure?

Would love to hear this. It was so easy for FJ and I loved that my little one could go through the castle and see everything.

My son is 10 but short for his age. If he isnt tall enough to ride does one of us have to stay with his while he is in the swap area or could he stay there on his own?

The minimum height is only 42". A parent is expected to stay with the child in the child swap area but it's not monitored.
