I was told we would have to use these rooms to swap off with my sons Service Dog and I am wondering what these areas are like and how this procedure would work? I am familiar with how WDW does it. Are we at the ride, then switch so an adult can ride with the kids like at Disney? Second, the 'areas' are they rooms where my husband and I would be with other families or are they more private? I am trying to get a picture how this might would work with small kids and an 80 pound dog they think is an attraction.

You go through the queue and right at the loading/unloading dock is a nice big room with benches and a television. They are not private. There is usually another family in them or so but there is lots of room to stay to one side or the other with your dog.

Someone would stay in the room with the dog and once the other parties are finished riding the ride, they would swap in that room. You are only separated for the length of time it takes to ride the ride. It shouldn't be that long that you would have an issue with kids needing to play with your dog.

Here is the Men in Black child swap room.

Awesome. I was picturing something a little different based on the limited description I was handed and grim photo it painted along with it lol. TY kindly.

These are two of the biggest child swap rooms. Some are a lot smaller. Some have doors, and others don't. When we used them about half the time they were packed with no seating room and the other half tof the time they were mostly empty. A few we used elevators. If the room is crowded I would guess you could stand in the hallway.

I think your biggest issue would be the kids wanting to pet the dog while it is working. Most kids don't understand about that.

That's the parent's job to teach them to ask first if they can touch the dog. I have a daycare and I have taught all of my daycare kids to do this and I also point out any that are wearing their working vest, and that they are working and not to touch.

Thankfully the OP and another adult, I assume, will be there swapping out so they'll be with the dog, and the kids will have adults with them, and between the two adults the kids can be taught.

We have a father of one of our students who has a service dog. We went over it with our class at the beginning of the year and again when the dad accompanied us on a field trip. We still had kids try to pet the dog. Not to mention the other classes and schools on the trip.. Just a natural inclination. The dad had to constantly ask kids to please not pet the dog even with parents there.

I don't know that it will be a PROBLEM problem, just something that they will likely have to deal with more than once throughout the day. As far as the swapping itself,I didn't see an issue.
