princess:i have a high back booster that i wanna use for my daughter... but the problem is its blue . boy blue. LOL
anyhow i started to research carseat covers. they cost just as much as the seat does.

anyone know of a cheaper solution?
i know i could just keep it blue.. but what fun is that?? LOL

thanks in advance

My oldest was a girl, and I knew I wanted 3 children. She wore a red coat until dd8 was born. Her bedding was blue and white. Her carseat was blue. her highchair was blue (notice a pattern here?). I think I might've had a girly infant carseat when I had my twins, but to be honest, ds7 rode in it just as often as dd7! Really, who cares? :confused3

and they don't recommend that you "accessorize" your carseat anyway. Keep in mind that car seats expire, so if yours is more then 5-6 years old, you may need a new one anyway. Then you can splurge on the pink one!

lol my daughter has a blue saucer. blue walker. blue high chair.. LOL
i know it can be done..
i checked the date on the carseat its still good. but... heres the kicker. i could give it to my niece ... and then sneak a pink one in the car. then try to convience my husband that my son had a pink one? :scared1:lol its a dirty dirty idea!!

If you really want a pink one I would suggest buying a new one. They can be found pretty cheap at Walmart or Costco. As someone already stated it is recommended not to use the decorative covers. The seats safety has not been rated with the covers on. The only thing you could do is to call the company that made that seat and ask them if they have a replacement cover in pink that fits that seat. G/L

Exactly what I was going to say. I would only be comfortable getting one from the manufacturer for my specific model. I wouldn't compromise my kid's safety for the sake of a color. It may be a matter of an inch of fabric here or there, but I definitely get paranoid about those kind of things.

I am looking into the same thing now. The new one arrives soon and my boy is about 20 mnths old. Not sure if the new one is a boy/girl, but if the little one is a girl his Mom will want pink! I was shocked to see pricetags of $80 for replacement covers. There HAS to be a cheaper option out there, no? I mean, the covers must get stained and torn and nasty for some folks, and other folks will want to change for teh gender of the next one like we might.... I'll post if I find something. Mine is a Graco.

I know for my Graco Nautilus seat I was able to get a replacement cover directly from Graco. I think the Turbo boosters are on sale at Target and you get a $20 GC.
