Child-Only Discount Tickets?

I need a 5 day hopper for just my 3 year old. LMT says they won't sell child tickets alone. Where else should I look? Thanks!
(The rest of the family already has 3 day hoppers that we will upgrade when we get to the parks.)

Would it work for me to purchase an adult ticket through LMT, then exchange it for a child's ticket at the parks?
I noticed that through Disney the adult 4 day hopper is the same price as the child 5 day ($335). The adult 4 day through LMT is $296.97. That would save me $38.

I'm not sure if this would work. You couldn't do it with tickets purchased at full price because the rule for upgrading tickets is that the ticket you upgrade to has to be equal to or more than the price of the ticket your are changing from. Many people report success with saving money when upgrading LMT tickets to annual passes because they are credited the Disney price board value of the ticket rather than the actual amount paid. If Disney has the LMT tickets coded into their system at full price, then you wouldn't be able to switch the adult ticket for a child ticket since the child ticket is a lower price ticket.

It appears that Get Away Today will let me buy a child ticket alone, however their prices aren't as good as LMT. So, if Disney will let me put the value of an unused adult ticket towards the price of a child ticket, that would be better.

That makes sense. But if the adult 4-day ticket is worth $335 and the child 5-day is worth the same to Disney, do you think they would do an even exchange?

I guess they might if price scheme hasn't changed by the time you get there. This necessitates a trip to the ticket booth though before you visit the park, and avoiding the ticket booth is part of the reason to buy in advance. Also, it just occurred to me I don't know what happens to Magic Morning if you do that since tickets sold at the ticket booth don't include that. Maybe they would let you keep the magic morning? Anyway, Get Away Today has 3 day child tickets for $253 and 5 day for $285. It's been a number of years but I have used this company multiple times in the past and not had any difficulties with them. Others here on the board have also used this company and had positive reports about them. I get it though if you're not comfortable going with someone you are not familiar with. Even though you all like LMT, I still feel strangely unwilling to use them (not that it has been an issue anyway in recent years since we just get APs).

I haven't used any of these sites before. Last time we used Golden 1 and they don't do it anymore.
So I'm open to any of them.

I believe that is for 1 park per day and we want hoppers.

Whoops, sorry, you are correct of course. Wasn't paying attention. It has been so long since we have bought tickets that it's not something I think about much and even though I know they have 1-park per day passes, they didn't the last time we bought tickets. They offer a 5-day child hopper ticket for $320 if you scroll down below the 1-park per day offerings.

I just called Disney customer service and was told I would be able to exchange the tickets. I just won't be given a refund if the new ticket costs more than the one I come in with. I hope this is true!

Oh, that's interesting. Perhaps it's because you are trying to go from an adult to a child ticket so it's treated as a downgrade or exchange or mistake. I guess it wouldn't make sense to be thought of as an upgrade.
