Child Finger Scan question

OK...this may be a dumb question, but I'm curious. If I get 10 day magic their way tickets for my children with no expirations, will we have trouble using them in a couple of years? From what others have said, they scan the size of their fingers...kids grow! Their finger sizes will change. How does that work?

My son was not required to scan his fingers in June. I think it is really just a crack down on the adults

They do finger scans on adult tickets, but not on children's.

Another question...What if you don't end up using all 10 days on the ticket before the child turns 10 and needs an adult ticket? I am planning to use them all in the next few years, but things happen...

As far as I know, Disney doesn't charge kids for growing up, or so they say, so you should be able to get the passes turned into adult passes if needed. That may have changed though.
