My son will be 11 when we go to WDW next but there is no way that he will eat an adult meal in the restaurants...........even though he is obviously older than 9 can we ask to order from the child's menu or will they not permit this?
Not so much of a problem with counter service when they don't ask to see the child!!!

We have found them to be quite accomodating on this at TS places in WDW, so you should be okay.

You shouldn't have any problem at all. I've ordered off the children's menu as an adult. Sometimes, I just want a grilled cheese, y'know? :yay:

I too have ordered a child's meal for myself (on a hot day at DHS at Brown Derby no less) and it was fine.

One thing to consider is that some of the TS restaurants serve a Junior portion of their Kid's meals. They are not on the menu. They are larger servings of the kid's meals (increased price too). If your DS simply doesn't like the food choices on the adult menu but may eat more, then a Junior portion may be just what you need.

Here's an example at Kona Cafe.

Junior portion Mickey Raviolli-looks like about 12 raviolis

Kid's portion. Looks like about 4 raviolis
