ARe there any childcare opportunities available at BCV for kids ages 7 and 8. I will be doing the single parent thing and might need a retreat.

I believe that the Beach club has a kids club along with the WLV and Grand Floridian. If you are a DVC member you now get 10% off with your card. You can probably get more information from MS. You can book up to 6 months in advance. Last time we went it was $10 per kid per hour which included dinner - not a bad deal. I believe that you can book up to 6 months out. There is also some private services that will take your kids to the park etc.

Yes, the Sandcastle Club at the BC is open from 4:30 until midnight and takes children ages 4-12. The charge is $10 per hour per child. Dinner is served from a kid friendly menu.

Anyone have any experience with this? I read a review where the poster felt the caretakers at the Sandcastle were snobby and inflexible. I know there are naysayers about anything but I would love to hear some other opinion!

My DS 6, DS 4 and DN 4 stayed at the Sand Castle Club in January while we went to a nice grown up dinner. The boys had a great time and really enjoyed their stay. There were only six kids there all night with three adults. Dinner was typical kids menu food that was brought in for them. I would use them again.

You might want to check if they have reopened because I know they mentioned they were remodeling shortly after our visit. They were going to reopen the child care at the Boardwalk during the remodel.

My children went there in September and loved it! It was nice to have a grown-up dinner at ESPNZone- watching football. There were only two other kids there with my two. There were two ladies working there- one older and one younger. The older lady was snooty, but the young lady was very nice and good with the kids! Both my kids want to go back again. So I am sure we will send them. Another note- my son is really shy! So him liking the place says alot.

I believe the Sand Castle Club is currently closed for refurbishment. The BWV Child Care facility has been reopened until the Sand Castle Club refurbishment is complete. They are telling BCV guests to use the BWV child care facility.
