My husband and I are going to Disney for about a week. I am considering leaving our son at one of the kids programs for one afternoon or evening while we spend a few hours alone. Has anyone had any experience with any of the kids programs? How are these programs? Which is the best? I am afraid to use the in room care. I have done alot of work with abused children and would be nervous leaving him in a hotel room with a stranger. Oh- one final question. He will be one day shy of four years when we leave him-- can he still go? He is potty trained and has been for some time. We are staying at POR if this matters.

I don't think the kids' clubs open until later in the afternoon, like 5PM or so. They don't operate to drop kids off during the day.

And the age thing is for state requirements, so he has to be four to stay at the kids' clubs.

The children must be 4 years old and they are pretty strict about it. We once got my older son there when he was just under 4. Last fall I had to go to a convention dinner and I brought my 2 year old daughter to the kindercare for about 3 hours. It is right on disney property and apparently used mostly by disney employees. It was open until 9pm. It was very friendly, secure, and clean. I would use it again if I had to. But if my daughter was old enough my preference would be to use the kid clubs at the disney hotels. My son now 6 loves and assumes he will have a visit to a disney kids club on every trip. The neverland club at the poly was given the best report by him.
