Would anyone have a recommendation for childcare options for a 12 year old high functioning special needs child while parents visit parks? Possibly someone to take kiddo swimming or another non park activity?

My first thought is why can't the child go, too? The vast majority of my students (various levels of disability) love Disneyland. If it's a full day, it's going to be hard to find help, but you might be able to find someone for a couple of hours. If you're local, it's easy to leave your child with a respite provider if you have the hours. If you're coming from out of town, I'm not really sure what's around the area anymore though there used to be several babysitting agencies that would work in the resort area hotels. Some hotels have listings for child care. I think the onsite hotels do. But, depending on the medical and/or behavior issues, some agencies are hesitant. It might make sense to call your specific hotel to see if they have a list of options so you can call ahead and ask if they are willing to work with you.
