Looking for options for childcare for our two boys. Both have their b-day in October when we'll be there, and was wondering about leaving them (together) for a couple of hours, but I prefer not to leave them in the room with a babysitter when we're at WDW (there's too much great stuff at wdw). The 2 y/o-to-be is not quite potty trained, and the 4 y/o-to-be is. What options do we have for them, and how much ($) do they run? We were thinking of a dinner out...

unfortunatly, for the under 4 the only option is a babysitter in the room. The 4 year old could go to a kids club.

I remember reading something about a daycare in the UG. I will go back and check once I get my 2 kids settled down, but I think there is a place in DTD that you can leave your kids. If anyone knows before I get back to it..please feel free to jump in!

If you have the UG 2003 it is on page 278-9. It says that there is a Kindercare open Monday-Friday 6am-9pm and Sat and Sun 6am-6pm. Children ages 1-12 as long as they are walking and eat table food. $10 per child per hour. 407-827-5437 or 407-824-3290.

Reading further the book says te rate is 13.50 per child and 15.50 for 2 children one hour. you might just want to call. Resservations can be made 30 days in advance. If you are staying on site or at Swan and Dolphin you can charge it otherwise you have to pay cash. All of the other info is the in room service. Also, it says that if you do not have a car you are better off using inroom service.

Just so you know..I have never expirienced any of the childcare programs..I don't know how they are..but I knew there was a couple that you didn't have to leave them in the room since that was what you were looking for.

Hope this Helps!!!

That helps ALOT... I'm not sure we'll do it this time, but to have an option available is wonderful... If I do use it, I'll be sure to report back. Does anyone else on the boards have any personal experience with this Kindercare? Onecoolmama, how and where does one obtain a "UG"?

I got my Unofficail Guide to Disney at Boarders..but I think all major bookstores on and off line carry them. I think you can get it from Ebay too. However, they have just came out with the 2004 edition. You might want to get that..it has more updated information. I got 3 books last year for Christams..everyone thought it was the "perfect gift"..they were right..I had already gotten it for myself! :p

Good Luck and have a Great trip!

Guess I'm going to go invest in one! Do you happen to know the publisher, or is there only one out there? I'll be looking into it in the next couple of days!

Bob Sehlinger is the author..but I think there is only one like this. We need to get the 2004 one as well. If I happen to pick it up in the next day or so..I will let you know the pages in the new book. I will be there in Ocotber too and My DS is 2 turning 3 while we are there. Lucky for me, my mom and my aunt will be there with us so I have free babysitting. But in the next few years..we will be using Kindercare. I don't want to use the kids clubs until at least two kids can go. I feel better that way!

Enjoy the book..this board and that book are my night time reading!!!;)
