Hi All:

We will be traveling to WDW in Feb for our dd 4th b-day. We will celebrate her b-day on the thursday of our visit starting off at Cinderella's breakfast. The cast member who took our reservation already noted it was her b-day.

We want to make this trip extra special for her - she has been a big trooper this past year - a move to a new city leaving her friends, her daddy traveling a lot an not seeing him, a new school, new house and to top it off a brand new baby brother - she did great through the transition and we want to say thank you to her and make this day HER day - a lot of attention latey has been given to the baby brother.

What else can you all suggest that we do to make her day more special than it already will be?

Any suggestions would be great and appreciated. You all are the experts.

BTW - I love this board - I am a HUGE Disney fanatic as well as my dd Madeline. She knows every character out there, including all on Playhouse Disney. I love it!

Thank you again!

Diana

I would make her a shirt that has something like "Today is my birthday" on it. You can also take her to guest services at every park and they will give her a free birthday pin, and then all the characters and CM's will be sure to tell her Happy Birthday. You could have balloons delivered to your room, and get her a cake made and delivered to the Princess Dinner that night when you eat.

She sounds like a big girl. That is a lot for a child that young to take in and she sounds like she did a great job!!! :thumbsup2

Diana,
I just saw this today so sorry for the delay but-
my DS turned 15 on Christmas Day and we were at WDW and it was so great. First I arranged Mickey to call him on his cell phone (sorry, can't remember the website for that, I can't believe that I didn't save it for my soon to be 9 year old son) So he got the call during our dinner at Prime Time 50's Diner at MGM. He also had a pin on all day so no joking about 200 people wished him a happy birthday. At rock n roller coaster, the cm announced on the microphone it was his birthday and everyone sang. That was cool. Then as we were getting on the ride, several teenage girls yelled out Happy Birthday Jeff. That put a smile on his face the rest of the day.
At Magic Kingdom he got a free frozen lemonade at the Minute Made stand by the teacups. At MGM's sweetshop he received a free chocolate covered marshmallow. They really treat you like royalty on your birthday there. Hopefully they do the same for your daughter. Make sure you remind them when you check in at your resort and she will receive balloons and a card from her favorite character if you let them know ahead of time.
Don't forget to mention it as you load on each bus also, they will sing to her on the bus too. Milk it Mommy, Milk it. :rotfl2: Have fun, we'll be at WDW in Feb also. The 20-23rd. I haven't been since last year, I'm due back, lol. (We were there last month.)
Mickey, I'm coming back soon, do you miss me????

We just celebrated DD's 5th birthday there last week. If you listed bday on your meal reservations, they should bring out a cupcake for her (we had several over the course of the week!) A few places also gave her cards or placemats signed by the characters.

On my dd's birthday, we went to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and she got a princess 'do. She loved the whole experience, and they gave her a Birthday Princess sash to wear. Here are pictures- http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8Mct2bRizdW

Her birthday dinner was at 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella and friends - she receieved a birthday tiara there. I had made arrangements for a birthday cake for that meal as well. They also have a glass slipper cake you could ask about. http://mcschwarz.shutterfly.com/action/pictures?a=67b0de21b32497f265ca

At the resort we received a birthday pin for her to wear for the duration of the trip - she got lots of attention from CMs, characters, and other guests. I also mentioned it was her bday at the front desk, and later that day, she received a balloon and a card signed by her favorite princess (well, for that day, at least!) Aurora. Oh, and on her actual bday, she wore a tee and tiara from Gymboree that say "Birthday Girl." http://mcschwarz.shutterfly.com/action/pictures?a=67b0de21b32497fbe4f3 Later, she wore her Cinderella dress.

Hope your little princess has a fabulous 4th birthday! princess:

Thank you all for the great advise. I am so excited for my dd to celebrate her b-day at WDW. This is a complete surprise for her and I will take everyone's advise to heart and use it.

One more question, what about balloons? Does anyone know of a place I can have balloons sent to our room while we are out? I want to surprise her.

I appreicate it!! You all are the BEST!

We just did this last week at OKW for my DD 5th. When you check in, tell them the date of her BD and her favorite character. On her day they will send up 3 or 4 HBD balloons attached to an autographed picture of her favorite character. Have a great trip. Your DD will feel special the whole trip, not just her BD....
