Chicken & Ribs at Cosmic Rays...

Did this twice this last week, once for lunch and once for dinner. It came with a large ice cream scoop worth of mashed potatoes and some green beans. Great value!

Yup. Bring your polyester-knit, elastic waistband emergency pants for this one. It's a lotta food. I'm a BIG guy with appetite to match but it was too big for me. Wifey and I had to split it.

this is a way for us to save some credits. 6 people 3 meals! then take those extras to Epcot and get something from every country!

:rotfl2:  :rotfl2:

We are so there with you on this one!

There are actually three bountiful meals there -- chicken platter, rib platter, and the rib/chicken platter. All three are a LOT of food. Cosmic Ray's is a great place to stretch TS credits without going hungry.

Has anyone been able to switch the Mashed potatoes for french fries?

Great question.
I would like to know the answer to this as well.
What about grapes? or carrot stix?

My under 3 DD will be helping me eat this meal.

I was planning on sharing with my niece (4yrs) but she is lactose intollerant, and I'm guessing the mashed potatoes will have milk and or butter in them.

Not to mention she wont eat mashed potatoes anyway.

Definitely the best food and value for the money at WDW! We love this place, it's always our first meal in the world after catching an early flight and we're starving. :thumbsup2

We swapped out fries when they were offering cooked carrots. It was no problem.

Mention the medical condition it to the CM at the register when you order and ask to substitute something else, like extra green beans. I've never heard of a food service area at WDW that would not bend over backwards to make sure you could enjoy their food.

Alternately, call WDW food service before you go and ask about substitutions for medical reasons at the CS locations.

For the pp with the lactose intolerant niece, every cs location has a binder listing all ingredients in their food :) You can check the binder wherever you go to see if the desired food is ok, then ask for a substitution if need be.

My dd13 has several food allergies. The chefs everywhere make sure that she can eat something yummy.

Good glad to know they will swap items out, my 2 year old hates mashed potatoes but loves french fries..:confused3 I plan on sharing also with him on all our meals. I never know when he is going to eat or not and don't want to waste money or food.

It's a lot of food, but I thought they were the worst ribs I've ever tried.

I did like the chicken and mashed potatoes so will stick with that next time.

Thanks for letting me know about switching the mashed potatoes for fries.

I have already sent the form in for her LI and it goes to the chefs at the TS restraunts and our resort. I know about the binders at the CS. I'm just working on finding CS places that I can go to without having to hold up the line looking through the binder.

It nice to know we can share this meal. I don't eat much and neither does she. I hate wasting food even if we have the free dining plan.
