I would like to say from personal experience that having the chicken pox once doesn't always make you immune. Apparently the virus mutates every 6 years within your body, and while most people can fight it off again, some people (lol, me) just get the chicken pox again. I've had the chicken pox three times now and I'm due again starting in November -blegh-
A good friend of mine also suggested that I look at the health food store as she thought there was something there she had once read about. We are one week out and so far there hasn't been any!
Although it has spread through our school like wild fire now! Even kids who had the vaccine twice are getting it!
We are now out of school and I did keep them out of school for the last week and haven't seen a pock yet! Fingers still crossed. I think I will call the doc on Monday though and ask if there is a blood test that can be done to see if they have it. It would be devestating to have it break out while we are at DL. Could you imagine having to stay in a hotel room with DL just across the street!
Thanks for all your well wishes! They must have worked!
