I have read just about every food thread out there and this is never mentioned. We are eating at the Carnation Cafe on our next trip and I really want to try it but want to know if it's good. Has anyone tried this?

OK, chicken pot pie on my list of things to try at Carnation Cafe. :)

AMAZING!!! The baked potato soup is to die for, I usually get the soup and 1/2 sandwich and husband gets the pot pie so I can have a few bites. I can't live without the soup and my toddler wants the pickle, so that's my compromise! lol... BTW - I normally hate pot pies.

I love the chicken pot pie but last time they had a beef stroganoff pot pie and it was divine also!

I also can't live without the potato soupand must have it at least once every trip. I even asked Chef Oscar for the recipe and he had one of his chefs email it to me. That way I can have a little piece of Main Street at home!

My husband loves the sandwich in the pretzel bread, I'm sorry I don't remember if it's turkey or ham.

You can't miss with breakfast either,IMHO, the breakfast croissant or mickey waffles are great too. They all come with grapes which I usually put in a ziploc for later munching.

Everything we had at the Carnation Cafe was fantastic. I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you order.

Thank you all so much. I am definately going to try it now and maybe I'll start with the baked potato soup since everyone seems to love that too. We figured we had to eat here so my dd can experience tha peanut butter painter thing.

Lol - yup, I got an autographed copy of the recipe for Baked Potato Soup. We eat it a lot too and it always reminds me of DL, Carnation Cafe, and Chef Oscar!

Oh please share the recipe. Also where is Carnation Cafe? on Main street? I think I saw it and it was packed we went right on by but if it is that good maybe we should go in next time. I know get reservations. Thanks Jan
