We arrive next Sunday, August 1st, and are planning on hitting up Disney Springs for dinner. We aren't making an ADR in case our flight is delayed so we just want some place we can walk up and eat. We are thinking Chicken Guy since we've never been. What kind of lines can we expect on a Sunday evening around 5:00-6:00 at Chicken Guy? Is everything going to be pretty much packed since it is a weekend?

Also, what does everyone like to eat at Chicken Guy or is it kind of meh?

Yes there will be a line but it’s really not Gideon’s Bakery bad. The amazing thing is the product is worth it and that’s saying something from someone who avoids most QS eateries.
Bought some for the kids to eat on the plane (their request and I admit to rolling my eyes when I heard it, LOL) and it was delicious cold and w/o sauce.

Refuse to eat at a place where the owner thinks it appropriate to name his white sauce Donkey Sauce.
Did you read the Pete Wells review of his restaurant in Times Square? It’s a classic and white donkey sauce is certainly mentioned, LOL. Still Guy has found his medium with this place and I congratulate him.

This past Monday at 11:30 am we had about a 25-30 minute wait. There are some tables with umbrellas outside, and a few inside (but it's very small inside). DH and DS both had a sandwich, I had tenders. They were good, and not bad for a Disney meal price-wise. Just be aware that if you order a sandwich the sauces come ON it, not on the side for dipping. It was a good meal, though, and we would go back next time we're there.

I was at DS in May during the weekend and was really looking forward to trying Chicken Guy for the first time. It was mobbed but as gharter mentioned...it's going to be mobbed everywhere. I chose not to wait in the long line.

You can order the sandwich with no sauce on it. I usually get it on the side. It's great for dipping both the sandwich and the fries.

We used mobile order from their website! Super easy! We were there in May at noon. Hot and the line was HUGE and they had a mobile order sign front. Mobile ordered, went right inside and waited for our order and while we were waiting were lucky enough to grab a seat inside. Everything we had was good. My husband loved the cereal shake!

I'll have to try that next time!

I don't see the choice of Mobile Order at Chicken Guy any more. I remember that there were long lines when it first opened, but now that it's been open a while, are there still long lines, during the week, at off-times (maybe a late lunch)?

you have to go to Chicken guy website and you can mobile order. It literally cuts you way ahead of the line. We do it every time we eat there. Disney website does not have chicken guy mobile ordering

Or you can use the Chicken Guy app. It saves so much time, you tell the person at the door you did a mobile order and they let you right in.

Thanks. I just went there and saw it. Now I have to hope I can pick a "not too busy" time.
