Is there a chicken exit for Space Mountain? This next trip, DS will be tall enough to ride, but I'm just not positive he will go through with it. DH absolutely will not ride it - DD and I absolutely will. Before, DS has always just waited with dad, but I hate to take both kids myself to have to turn around and take him back to dad if he chickens out. I'm hoping DH can walk through with us, and then take the chicken exit himself or take DS with him through the chicken exit if need be.

There is a chicken exit for SM, I see people using it all the time!

I believe right before the line splits (left/right) for loading, there are exit graphics painted on the floor if you choose to opt out.

All you need to know is that any guest can decide to NOT ride on ANY attraction at WDW before boarding.

I don't know if you are interested, but there is a "child swap" for SM. My DS, 8, didn't want to ride it the first time, so he waited in line with us, and we told the CM we wanted to do a "swap" - and they took him to the exit of the ride and waited there with him until we were finished. I'm happy to say, he rode it the 2nd time!

Unfortunately, my DH is the "child." :teeth: I KNOW he's not going to ride it. I just wanted him along with us in the queue in case DS chickened out at the last minute so there would be someone there to walk him out. He's only 5, so I didn't want to send him out a chicken exit alone.
