In the western burbs...Lisle's Eyes to the Skies fest kicks off on the 1st..and here's my shameless plug for my brothers Band...The Rhythym Fools...they are playing the main stage ( 6 p.m) opening up for Smashmouth ( 8 p.m.) so if you're looking for a fun place to kick off the Holiday weekend...try it out!

They are pretty fun and the fest has been a lot of fun in the past, great food, drinks, rides for the kids, hot air balloons....

I love summer!

I posted on the Chicago thread about going on Sunday. My favorite group, LONESTAR will be there then. I can't wait! Never went to that festival before. By the way is there a seperate charge for these concerts?
The advertisment is so confusing. From what I gather there is an extra charge of $5 for the carnival right? An entrance charge of $10

Stitchfans... $10 each entrance ages over 12 to get in to the fest itself to hear the bands all day/night...carnival is a seperate $15 for unlimited ride days...I think from 11-4pm on Saturday and again on Monday, but not sure. You do NOT need to pay the $10 to get into the carnival area, but you do to get into the bands/food/craft show/hot air balloon area. The main stage is on the North side of the park grounds, facing North. It is on a small island and then there is a large hill to sit on to enjoy the bands. Several other stages are set up throughout the fest, beer tent etc. Parking starts at about $5 and I have seen some charge $10 at local businesses. There is a shuttle from Ill Benedictine College.

they have a link to the fest there. JackFM has been giving out free tix for the Saturday show...but only Saturday...worked out well for me saving me $40!
Even tho my brother is in the band, no free tix thru them...
Maybe you can catch them another time..they play all around Chicagoland.

That's so cool for your bro! I hope they have a great time! :thumbsup2

I about died when I saw $10 for tickets, but I guess that's a fairly good deal for a Smashmouth concert and to see all of the baloons. Still, when you figure you'll be sitting on the ground, using port-a-potties, and paying and arm & a leg for concessions/amusements, $10 a head smarts!

Best of luck for his band! :cheer2:
