Even though:

in four weeks EXACTLY we will be in Disneyland Paris (22nd-25th September)

and

in fifteen weeks and 5 days we will be in New York (13th-16th December)where we will stay until fiteen weeks time when we go to WDW (16th-30th December

we are thinking about our holiday for 2009!

Dopey wants to go to WDW again but we were thinking of going to Chicago for a few days beforehand (we mean the city - not the stage show).

Where's the best place to stay, in terms of price and area, and what's the best time of year to go?

Thanks awfully for your help/advice.

Hi Grumpy

We have been to Chicago but went in August (yes it was hot).

We stayed at a Holiday Inn on East Ohio if I remember rightly - it was in a good position as you could easily walk to the magnificent mile and Navy Pier wasn't that far away. We had a pram and tended to walk most places. From the pier you could walk up the lake shoreline to the zoo or the Aquarium - or take a water taxi.

The hotel had a rooftop pool and was near a great littl place for breakfast. We did go on the 'El' and managed to get lost. Luckily a helpful person put us right!

I think a lot of the hotels are in walking distance of the attractions. :)

Hope this helps.
