ok, for those out there that have cleaned their houses,
one question for you..........do you hire out?

done with this week's challenge and looking to relax and play this weekend.

Mac The problem with cleaning house and doing laundry is you just turn around and whalla it unclean. Atleast it's like that with my dogs. My son is neater his room has to be just so. I don't know where he came from. :rotfl:

so what hersey is trying to tell me is .............

1. she doesn't hire out
2. don't bother cleaning in the first place

???????

you know, there is a reason i like this girl !!!
she makes sense :rolleyes1

I've decided housework is bad for my health. A couple of weeks ago when I cleaned out my basement I hurt my back. If I just let it alone my back would have been happy. :lmao:

slo I'm not sure what meds or remedy the new doctor will give me, but I am hoping for a relief in the pain I am feeling every day. :sad1:

I made a macaroni taco casserole dish tonight for myself & DH and the kids had chicken tenders. They do not like spicy food!!

mac I do my own cleaning. I have no reason to hire someone to clean. If I was working still, that would be a different subject. I would deffintely hire out if I was working. I am kind of a clean freak....to a point. And I really like things in their place. Except for paper work...that has a tendency of being all over one of my counters. Too much mail, too much business stuff, too much school stuff, too much volunteering......etc. :faint:

Hersey Maybe Alex is one of my kids.....he seems to sound a lot like me when it comes to having things in order! :rotfl: ;)

bunchkin, if you ever come to my house, give me a 5 day notice.
i'd hate for you to fall over with a heart attack when you walked into my house, no, make that stumbled into my house over the clutterer.......and mess........and what i call, the lived in look.........:rotfl: :rotfl:

Yeah My house has the lived in look too. I find it very unfullfilling ( sp) to clean and then find out 3 hours later that the house is a pig stye again.. so i have given up and lived the motto that my children will have happy memorys of the things we do, not how clean the house is.. :rotfl2:

I'll have time to have a clean house once the kids are grown and out of the house.. no wait I am still married.LOL. scratch that..:rotfl:

Well back from working way too hard and then having scouts and school things every night.. it has been a tough week.. so I get my comp plan from HR today and not only have they made me to start over again with a new territory but they have cut the commission percent of the sales reps.. I really have to work on my resume this weekend..

Thanks to all who sent their thoughts and prayers for my family. The service was small but nice. She looked like one of the China dolls or those for real baby dolls. I just wanted to pick her up and hold her. I hope my nephew and his wife do alright. That just has to be so hard. I can't imagine losing a child.
Bunchkin, I sure hope pain clinic can give you some relief. Being in constant pain must be terrible.
Everyone else, hello and good night. I need to get to PTO work.
Have a great evening.

Yesterday I unplugged the coffee pot instead of the vaccuum, which stopped the clock. Therefore, my timer for the coffee pot didn't work this morning, and I woke up to no coffee. This is how I feel toward myself right now :furious:

macraven - Sorry, I don't hire out :sad2: I don't think you could pay me enough - I hate cleaning!!!!!

HERSEY - Tell Alex to come over tp my house and tell him to show Stephanie how to keep her room clean. She's a messy bessy!!!!

Bunchkin - Paperwork always ends up being all over our counters too - why is that???:confused3

geffric - I hope you have a relaxing weekend after a very stressful week:headache: :wizard:

Tiggerrnnn - How did your nephew and his wife doing the funeral? I feel so bad for them. My prayers continue to be with them.

Well, I gotta run
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Bunchkin
Hersey Maybe Alex is one of my kids.....he seems to sound a lot like me when it comes to having things in order!
What time shall I bring him over! Yesterday he made a mention "..do I think our house is too messy" He said this after I cleaned HELLO:rotfl2: Was he commenting on my house cleaning?

Slo I don't think you would want Stephanie to be like Alex. He is too much like a grownup sometimes. Sometimes I look at him and think where did he come from. He is so different than his father or myself.

Today I finally am meeting up with my friend something always pops up at the last minute. We've been trying to get together since before thanksgiving
First I'm going to my fav meat market in Elburn to load up.

Good Morning all.

I'm glad to see I'm in good company for cleaning. Anyone who is an organization/neat person, please give me TWO weeks notice you are coming over! :lmao: Although, I'm not sure that's enough.

I knew we were having company yesterday and I still only got the main "guest areas" done. So, basically no one was allowed to leave that area if I could help it. :rotfl2: (Don't EVER open any of my closets or go upstairs to my room after I have company cleaned -- you're likely to get killed with all the stuff shoved into those areas).

I *survived* High School Musical concert and survived is the key word here.
Quicky synposis of my night -- Didn't even get into the place until almost 7:30, so completely missed the opening act. Sent the girls & another mom in so they hopefully wouldn't miss anything since we were already late due to traffic, while me & the 2nd mom attempted to do some interesting backing up manuver with a tow truck driver & cop directing me. Who I'm sure was thinking all sorts of interesting things about this crazy lady driver trying to back up! It was all the arena's fault though anyway for no one directing us into the extremely already full parking lot, they just kept sending us on. It was a really, really, really, really tight curve in the first place to go between a car & the guard rail and now they wanted me to try to do it in REVERSE? Heck, I barely made it going forward. Then got told by Mr. Tow Truck driver we couldn't go any further...so there was a car in front of me that had to do the back up thing too. She was the one that ran back to the police to ask what are we supposed to do & found out we had to back up! She probably did better than I did. In the end we found a great parking spot for where we were to leave though (after trying to park in one other spot & told by a police we couldn't park there).

We walked in RIGHT as the curtain was opening for the High School Musical performers. So, I didn't see Debbie there, I did look though but all I basically saw was a sea of people and then it was insanity when we left.

The concert was good. I did get some pictures. The girls had a great time. I just felt so bad we missed the first act & we didn't even get a t-shirt (they were sold out of DD's size at the end of the show).

I know we weren't the only ones late though, as part of our lateness was being stuck with all the other cars just trying to get into the parking lot itself.

Oh, then we got a bit lost coming home too! See if I ever listen to those other moms again who were supposed to know where they were going. :lmao:

good Saturday morning Chicago!
another chilly day awaits us with snow on the horizon. I am officially ready for Spring now.

Becky-sorry you had such a hard time getting in to see your show! that sounds terrible. But I am glad that you made it in time!

Bunchkin-I have heard that the University of Chicago has an excellent pain management program from a very trusted source. Her son is going through the program now. It really helps you to live with pain and deal with it better. So I really hope they can help you too!

to all the cleaners: please sign me up! I HATE cleaning. I did just clean out the front closet and threw away several pairs of shoes. I felt like I really accomplished something there (but lets not talk about the 2 new pairs of shoes that prompted the cleanup in the first place...;) )

Tiggern: my deepest sympathies go out to you and your family during this hard time. You are all in my thoughts.

well I'm off to Madison wisconsin this morning to see my dad so I'd better wake up Mr. Sleepyhead! Have a great weekend!

good morning chicagoland homies.

i keep hearing about this high school musical.
read something in the morning paper today that people were willing to pay $700 for 2 $34. tickets.

i must be behind in the times. did see a side show in tomorrowland in october called h.s. musical at disney. it was just ok for me. then i realized it must be a disney musical.

glad you and the kiddos enjoyed it. that is too bad you didn't get tshirts from the venue. i know when my kids went to concerts, they had to have the tshirts from the merch carts. it made the evening better for them when they spent all my money on those things.

mr mac went to Bong this morning to ski and i am playing with dates for my motherland trip.

from the ones that stated they would think about a fall trip, how many really want to go then?

i know geffric could only in october as she is prohibited time off at quarters end, but who can go in sept or oct or end of sept thru early oct?

i'm going solo on this trip. if you are interested give me a heads up before i start to book mine.

doing another trip to the motherland also but that one will be a shorty.

hope all of you are having a great weekend.

watch the tube on sunday.
let me hear you cheer when those touchdowns start happening.....

:thumbsup2 The prices were NUTS but people must have paid them (I know I did pay over retail value but I wasn't totally insane just partly) because it really was a packed house. The funniest thing is my DD had no idea we were THAT close to the stage, even though I showed her on the seating chart. She thought they were higher up & when they were taken to their seats, she kept thinking wait as they kept going down the stairs lower & lower. :rotfl: Score one for mom this time around...I get my cool mom award! :lmao:

I was bummed about the t-shirt because *I* always feel like she should have a t-shirt too. Luckily, she's my good natured kid, so we didn't have too much meltdown, just made a deal that I'll get her a shirt of zazzle or something like that.

I just got the pictures on the computer and am working on fixing them up to look nice. Of course, my eyes hurt because I'm still *really* tired. I went to bed at midnight and my sons woke up about 6:30ish, luckily they were the older ones so they just piled in the bed and rested for a bit longer too but I was still up early. I had to go pick up the little guy from Grandma's. I'm hoping he takes a nice nap, so maybe I can too. :rotfl2:

Good afternoon all. Almost evening.
Thanks again for your thoughts.
Mac-I am also contemplating a trip this coming fall to the Motherland. Want to try for the free dining this time around. So end of September for me it will have to be. Would love it if I could get in for a MNSSHP again, but this time that is not the deciding factor.
Plan to go with a friend this time. No kids!!!! We'll see if it works out. This friend has a habit of changing her mind on me.
Gotta go get dinner.
TACO night. DS will have his with cheese only please and 3 of them on one plate!! Do you think he is hungry?:rotfl:
Becky, sorry to hear it was so crowded. You probably didn't miss much from the opening act. Too bad DD couldn't get a shirt. Limited Too has some really cute HSM sweatshirts and shirts. Maybe you could pick one up there.

.

becky, thanks for sharing the pics.
i think you did a fine job on them.

dan, what memories you brought back !!
i bought that video of the supper bowl shuffle.
i also won 2 foot ball pools on that game.....

tiggern, i heard a rumor on another board, not the dis that free dining would or could be announced in late april for disney visa card holders for the end of sept again.

i know geffric can't get away at quarter end but i plan on going end of sept and staying until oct 15th.
i'm on if you are on.......and with me staying to mid october, maybe geffric could still come down to the motherland in october.

Dan -- You have just me feel extremely old. :lmao: Another thing to have my DD look at me like I have 2 heads when I start in with the Super Bowl Shuffle & I don't even follow football but remember that vivedly!!! I still have the newspaper clippings regarding it too!

I thought the "now" was hilarious!!

Hi all-

Dan- nice to see you! :wave2:
Thanks for the Bears then and now pics :thumbsup2 Hoping they win tomorrow! :woohoo: :cheer2:
Some 1985 Bears trivia: Did you know the senior pastor at my church was the Bears chaplain back in '85? He was their chaplain for a few yrs, from the early 80's til the late 80's :thumbsup2 . Also, Mike Singletary had gone to my church for many yrs. Now that he has moved away and is the linebacker coach(?) for the 49ers the past couple of yrs, he isn't at our church anymore, except he will visit when he's in town. A few yrs back, I saw him and his wife in the church parking lot, about 20 feet away from me :yay: Unfortunately I didn't get his autograph or say hi to him. I didn't feel comfortable doing that :o Singetary also has preached at our weekend services about maybe 5 yrs ago :thumbsup2 Also, Singletary and my senior pastor have been known to be good friends and go to country music concerts together, really!!
Just some Bears trivia I wanted to share :goodvibes

Talking about Da Bears, I saw on the channel 5 news last night or the night before that Jim McMahon :cool2: and Kevin Butler went to visit troops in Iraq a few weeks ago :thumbsup2 I thought that was pretty cool :thumbsup2

Becky- Thanks for sharing the HSM pics :thumbsup2 Sorry you had a real hard time with the parking at Allstate :sad2: the parking there is so crowded, not enough parking spots :sad2: . Glad to hear you and your family got in just in time for the start of HSM! I'm sure your DD was so excited!!

Debbie- did you make it to HSM?

Macraven- Hope you will be able to find a rooming buddy for your Fall WDW trip. Wish I could go, but finances are.. you know. And my DH and Dkids would be very jealous and upset with me if I took off like that
Everything as of school fees, meetings, etc are front -loaded for school starting up in the Fall.

Hi to Slo, tiggerrn, Princess Mindy, and everyone else

Have a good evening everyone.
