Hello everyone!

I'm so not ready for the cold. We all have colds here and pretty much feel miserable. We have 1/2 day here & then tomorrow off for parent/teacher conferences.

So...am I the only one trying to figure out about the High School Musical - The Concert?

I found out it's coming to the Allstate Arena Jan. 19. No tickets available yet (they are supposed to go on sale Nov. 4).

OMG My DD LOVES HSM and I HAVE to get tickets for that concert!!! All I know so far is that tickets go on sale Saturday morning!

I left the house today and after I was out I realized I had on my WDW jacket, my DS had on a WDW onsie with Mickey socks, my DD had on a Cindy WDW princess top with matching bow and socks, I had my Walt purse and was driving in my mini van with my 06 antenna topper and licence plate frame that says "WDW Been there, done that, going back..."!!!!
People must think I am nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Debbie reminded me...Speaking of cars....we saw one in a parking lot with WDWLVR on it. (I forgot the exact license plate number but basically abbr. WDWLVR).

Michelle that wasn't your car was it? You weren't visiting your parents and going to Butera were you? This was a while back. It was a van.

I just thought about that. My DD pointed it out & my brain went "Hmm..wonder if it's someone on the DIS" I know we have someone here with that username but I don't think they live in Illinois (I could be wrong -- I'm easily confused).

I also just found out that High School Musical is being performaned at Pheasant Run (no, not the original actors), it's by a local youth acting group. It will be running every Saturday from Nov. 25 to Dec. 30. I'm going to ask my DD if she wants to see that (also plan on getting the concert tickets but those are a mystery as to when & where you can get them), tickets are only $12.

Hope all of you seeing Wicked have fun. I'm kicking myself for not deciding to go to that until it was too late. Oh well. I have an icky cold anyway, so I'm sure you all wouldn't want to share my germs. I was thinking about taking DD there for her birthday but then HSM trumped that for her.

I can't wait to hear your report back from it.

i have been known to follow cars that are obviously decorated in a style from the motherland.

if there is a mickey antenae topper or a license plate or frame that mentions anything disney, i follow it. sometimes this has taken me out of town......

have met a few lovely people that way.
but the time it was a lady that borrowed the car from another neighbor didn't go over very well.....

So....how much candy do all of you with trick--or-treating children have in your house? I have the most candy ever in the history of me having children I have 7/8 of a paper grocery bag full of candy. Not only is this candy going to my work this year, but it's going to the fire dept. We just don't eat that much candy

Same here! I have 5-1/2 bags of candy left that I BOUGHT besides what Kelly got! And, neither of my kids have EVER been candy eaters. Every year, I wonder WHY they even TorT????

Lite FM (93.9) started playing their holiday music this afternoon!! I was driving and at noon I heard the announcement and heard the first song - "Jingle Bell Rock". I was absolutely shocked! I haven't even taken down my Halloween decorations yet

Thanks jedi!!! I hadn't heard that today and, my Halloween decs aren't down yet either but, Thanksgiving is 3 weeks away and I like to get most of my shopping done before then so, I NEED CMAS music to get in the Spirit, ASAP!! Thanks!!!!

Jedi - We keep 93.9 on at work and we were shocked and annoyed that they started the X-Mas music so early. I actually started a thread about this to get people's opinions. We (the store) are not keeping this station on, it's just to early .

Becky - I'm sorry you are all under the weather If it makes you feel any better, we are all here too. Kevin started with a bad cold on Wednesday and then it hit me like a ton of bricks Wednesday night I'm hoping to feel better today. Sending lots of PD your way for all your colds to go away

Kim - Katie's daycare teacher told me something another parent does with the Halloween candy. This parent takes out a little bit of candy for the children and then puts the rest in a bag outside the door for the "Halloween Fairy". The "Halloween Fairy" then comes and takes all the candy and leaves the children a small present. I thought this was pretty creative I may try it next year.

Good Morning and Happy Friday!!!

What is with my kids?? They keep getting up *really* early this week! I thought maybe they had too much sugar on Halloween and they were on a 2 day buzz!!
But here again this morning they are up before me, at the crack of dawn.
I even kept them up a little later than the norm last night.

Yesterday I got a call from the school nurse that Lauren had gotten sick at school twice. She has the most sensitive stomach of anyone I know. She seems fine this morning though. But last night I had to run out to a short meeting and her father gave her some ice cream for dessert. Guess who got sick again shortly after that??? He knows better then to give the kids dairy products when they've been hurling....that's *the* worst thing you can do.

Have you guys seen how Bay Furniture is going out of business??
We totally took advantage of the situation!!! We bought a new bedroom set and a dining room set. They are only open of a few more days or so. They have been chopping prices in half of the original price and then you can make them an offer. I love haggeling for a good price.



Debbie Sometimes we leave the house and all of us will be wearing Disney and we don't realize it!!

Jedi I caught the holiday music too yesterday! I thought "Oh, they are going to play it for a little while today. They're not going to start playing it 24/7 this early.". WRONG!!!!! I'll be burnt out on Chirstmas music if I keep listening to that station....which I usually do!!!

Kim I say return all the extra candy you bought!!! I've heard of a bunch of people doing that this year. Who needs that much candy lying around?

Donna We were planning to get a hotel on Michigan Ave. to watch the parade from if it's too cold. But most of them are SOLD out!!! Or no gauranteed Mich. Ave. views left. BUMMER!!!!
