Heading there next week. Are there kettles in the rooms in the Cheyenne? If not, is it possible to hire a kettle and what is the fee? From where? Or bring our own?

Thanks

Kettles may already be provided in the room, otherwise they can be obtained from the Information desk in the main building (a refundable deposit may be required)

Coffee and tea baskets can also be bought here for about 5 euros.

Thanks Cap n Jack, handy to know because I was thinking of buying a travel kettle to bring. My friend stayed in the Santa Fe last week and she say she didnt see them for hire anywhere, she also said to bring our own tea and coffee, that the garage didnt sell them.

they dont really advertise very well that you can hire them but you can and as capn jack said the fee is refundable. i would still bring your own tea/coffee. its quite expensive for those little baskets

I'd agree to take your own tea/coffee, we paid around €6 for the basket at the SL last week and it had 2 sachets of coffee and 2 tea bags :scared1: although it was still cheaper than the parks :rotfl:

when we bought our basket - they had some lovely mickey cookies in them!!!!!!!

When we went we took, the individual cups that they sell in Home Bargains. We took Coffee ones and hot chocolate ones, it was nice to get up and get a coffee to start the day.

I've got those, absolute bargain too and handy in the vending pack for fitting in the case. :thumbsup2 Did you take them into the park, I've got a small flask and I'm thinking if I could take that in and a cup for each of us, we'd save a fortune on what we normally spend on drinks, especially if it's cold. Not sure if security would let it through though. :confused3

We only used them in the room. I am sure I have read on here of people taking flasks into the parks which would be a great idea and a good money spinner. What I did like is when we were there last week whenever we bought a hot drink on the receipt it said that you could get another small hot drink free after 3pm on the same day which was a great.

Thanks for that Steve, will look out for that, the hot choc is a godsend when it's cold. :cold:

One more question, is there a mini bar in the rooms? How does that work? Can I ask for it to be emptied and just use it for our own stuff, we have a 10mth old.

thanks

There is no minibar or fridge in the Cheyenne rooms I'm afraid.
