We recently purchased a Chevy Tahoe.

The service airbag light has gone on 4 times now. Each time we get it fixed, it stays off and then goes on about 2 weeks later.

DH is getting upset and so am I.

Is this a nationwide problem? Have you had trouble?

Thanks in advance.

We have never had that problem with our Tahoe, we got it in June. It sounds like there is a problem with the electrical wiring. Hope it gets worked out.

I have a Saturn (2002). My airbag light came on. About 2-3 weeks later my whole computer "died" & had to be replaced. Luckly, I was able to drive to the dealer & it was under full warenty.

I'd have it looked at if I were you. It may be a first warning.

We've had it in for service 4 times.

We purchased from a dealer in Grand Rapids. They have a sister dealership here where we live and we have been taking it there.

We know the gentleman we purchased from and he sent someone down to pick it up. He said they will get to the bottom of it and call GM Technical Assistance.

It sounds like it is with the airbag sensor and not the actual airbag itself. He did say if this is going to be a chronic problem then we do have options about what we can do witht the vehicle.

It's brand new and the last time we had it in they cracked 2 peices of trim while fixing the airbag wiring-which is under a seat.

I drive a 2003 Tahoe and I haven't experienced that problem. Definitely get it looked into... sounds like a computer board issue.
