Chevy Cavalier 1998 question

My DM has had this lemon of a Chevy since she bought it new in 1998. Today she went to start the car and it would not even turn over. Could this be a sign that she needs a new battery?

Any help would be appreciated.

Could be... if it never had a new battery before it would be about time to need to get a new one.
