Chemical Weapons Plant Found in Iraq

Hang on with the high fives folks. They're reporting that this is a "suspected" chemical weapons plant. They took this thing yesterday and the General made no mention of it during his press conference. Israel prempted the US by reporting this in their media first, that's where Drudge picked up on it. The administration is being cautious and I would suggest the same to everyone here.

Just to clarify, 3ID was DH's first unit he ever served with ! He served in the Gulf war with another unit out of Germany-the Cavalry, and he is a reservist now. BUSY in the reserves-he trains the 3ID soldiers as part of his reserves job! But he is not over there-though he wishes he were! Way to go 3rd Infantry Division!
Seems like a large plant-they got the General and soldiers guarding it too.

I agree Olaf, because they have seemed to jump on this story rather quickly. This morning they were reporting that there are no war heads, etc. and that they're not even sure how many chemicals are actually there. It seems like they are backpeddling as quick as they originally jumped on it. I hope in many ways that they found them because I personally believe he has them but I don't want Saddam to think that now we've found them that he may as well go ahead and use the rest of them. Hard times!

That may very well be why they're trying to keep this underwraps & we may not know definitively until it's all over.

A large plant painted in desert camo, with an electric fence, a General and couple dozen soldiers there. And a pile of military hats they were trying to hide. Sounds suspicious to me. Perhaps they were in the "moving" process.

The military is already backing off of claims that this is a chemical warefare factory.
