Jordan: "yeah. I mean, you're living at my house, and I-I mean I think we've gotten close, we've been through a lot together including Chemical Alley. That kind of stuff just brings people closer."

Marcus: "I guess it does." He smiled slightly. "See, this is why I don't always want to die. Because if I did, I wouldn't get to see you anymore. You're my best friend."

Jordan: "yeah. It is. It's crazy, that day. I mean, my life changed, I remember it all so vividly. The four of us had planned on going to the cliffs but Eli and I made sure not to tell our girlfriends knowing they wouldn't approve. But somehow Jaycee found out. She came over when we were packing up Eli's truck raging about how stupid we were and that we were going to kill ourselves and that this was the stupidest thing we've ever done. Which, is honestly debatable. We tried to calm her down telling her that we'd be fine, that we were going to be careful. The guys got in the car but she stopped me telling me that she was 'asking me not to go' and that she 'really wanted me to respect that.' I remember, I looked at her and then I looked at my friends and told her 'I'm sorry.' I tried to kiss her but she wouldn't let me. She was furious. Had I not gotten hurt I think she would have broken up with me. But since I did, I guess she let that anger go, I think she figured when I came back into consciousness it would be just like it used to be. But everything changed. It's crazy."

Marcus: "S-same with me. I hated how I was treated and thought that there was no place for me in this world so I stabbed myself. I wanted to die in the diner, show them what they had done, but I ended up stumbling out and falling unconscious on the sidewalk. Y-you know, sometimes I think I did die. This is heaven. I actually have people who care about me. Sure, I'm depressed, but that's not going to change. I'm also happy, it's just hard for me to show it."
