Trying this for the first time. We are scheduled for lunch in June. Anything stand out here? Some of the sandwiches looked good, but so did the Prix Fixe 3 Courses Menu. I would love any Recommendations. Thanks in advance!

We went last October and everything was really good. Everyone was pleased with their choices (kids on up).

I always do the prix-fix lunch .I pick the quiche as that is something I can't get at home with the lobster bisque for the starter. As for the dessert I pick something both DH and would like.By the way the bread is wonderful as is the house wine.

We are there may 2013. All enjoyed our food. My mom is asking to go back again this trip. But without DDP it's out of my budget. And no Remy. :( Mom had chicken, I had prix fixe with the Mac and cheese. It was yummy!! Enjoy!! :)

My favorite item is on both the lunch and dinner menu. It's the braised beef short ribs (Plat de cote de boeuf au cabernet avec pates). They are so tender and yummy! In terms of the prix fixe menu, most of the items were to "cheese-heavy" for me, so I went with the regular menu instead.

We love lunch at Chefs de France. The quiche is delicious, as well as the Croque Monsieur. Love them both!

Also, the cheese puff appetizer on the kids menu is delicious. I know that sounds funny, but we always order one "for the kids" and then we all share it. It's small, but all four of us get a piece to try. It also comes with a small green salad on the side. So if you have kids with you, I would consider trying that.

I'd love to try one of their flatbreads and eat it as my lunch, but I'm not sure I could pass up that Croque Monsieur again...perhaps I could convince DH to share both with me and that way we could both sample them! ;)

DD12 thinks the Croque Monsieur is one of the best things on property...and I often find myself hoping she will fill up on the bread service before lunch so that I can finish the CM for her.

I got the appetizer flatbread last time as my meal (forget what it's called without going to look at the menu, but had crème and bacon). I would get it again in a heartbeat.

My wife thinks the short ribs are awesome...another item from which I usually try to weasel a bite or three!

Have also had the salmon (OK but wasn't crazy about the sauce), the mahi sandwich (good), the cheese tray (really good) and the escargot (quite nice).

In short, this has been my wife's and older daughter's (12) go-to lunch restaurant for a few years now. It is indeed very good. A couple of years ago, DD12 was learning about France in school and was very interested in going...and at the time, I learned that Remy would show up at lunch each day as a tiny animatronic and visit with each table. That was most helpful for our younger daughter at the time, as she was not particularly thrilled about the idea of a French restaurant. As I understand it (and as someone else has already noted), Remy is no longer there, but at this point, we have come to love the food, so I'm sure we'll keep going....which I'm sure was their plan all along - ha!

we loved our food at chefs. We started out with the goat cheese salad, and the cheese board. YUMMY!

For our entree's my son had the roast chicken & pototes, it was delish. He loved it. I tried it, it was delish. I had the beef short ribs with pasta. The beef was so tender and lean (no visible fat at all). It was outstanding.

Creme brulee and profiteroles were both delish. But i thought the creme brulee was far better.

Love this restaurant. We go every trip at least once. We've had many different things on the menu and have loved them all. Have fun!!

Enjoy The Magic!!

There were three of us with quite different tastes, and we all loved the prx fixe menu.

THE LOBSTER BISQUE. It is one of my favorite things in WDW, and I've tried many of their restaurants. And trust me, I'm a lobster bisque snob. It's the best I've ever had.

NOTE: Chefs is a pleasant French eatery, although most dishes have been Americanized.
The service is a pretty slow and the servers sometimes inattentive, just like in France.
As a middle-priced eatery, it is well placed. The food average, except leave the snails
to run in the garden, as the snails are sourced differently and the quality is downgraded.
We thought the cheese plate was very tasty, but we our senses might have been blunted by
the copious amount of vino. We're displeased with the entrées; they were French-inspired,
but not even close to real French (we used to go to France every 4-months for business).
Atmosphere is good, but the tables are much too close to one another, you have to watch
what is on your fork, as it easily could be part of the entrée of the next table. The
Average American taste buds will like several entrées, but anyone familiar with French
cuisine will be disappointed.

We had dinner there on March 3 and loved it, so much so that we have another ADR for this September. I read mixed reviews before our trip so was a bit hesitant to try this restaurant. We had about a 15 minute wait to be seated after checking in at 7:15 for our 7:30 ADR. We were seated at a window table even though I didn't think to ask for one at check in, nice to sit there and look outside. I've read reviews saying how packed together the tables are but we really didn't have a problem with that and didn't even notice. Our server was extremely attentive and friendly, he kept us supplied with drink refills and asked if we wanted another baguette, which happen to be absolutely wonderful. We never felt rushed even though the restaurant was very busy that night. DH had the beef tenderloin with creme brulee for dessert and I had the scallops and shrimp with profiterolles for my dessert...best dessert I had the entire week! We both enjoyed our dinners very much. A+++++++++ :thumbsup2

Love hearing all the good reviews. We are looking forward to trying this one on our next trip and was considering doing the Prix Fixe menu as well.
