Hi,

Please help.I recently made an ADR here to see Remy, is this a kid friendly restaurant in menu and atmosphere? I will be traveling with DD 11 and DS 2
Thank you

Depending on your perspective -- Les Chefs de France isn't going to be as kid-friendly as the character dining places, but certainly I would say it is a family-friendly restaurant.

The table-side greeting with Remy is funny. If Marie from Aristocats is outside, the show is even better.

The kids menu is very simple, not a lot of French influence at all. My son had "Le Hamburger" and "French Fries" -- that is about as French as it got for kids.

The main entrees are outstanding, though, our favorite meal this last trip.

We took our DD8 and DD1 in September and I thought it was totally fine for kids.

They both loved Remy and we sat by the window and Marie waved to us every time she walked by.

I'm planning on heading back there next year. I would not hesitate to take the kids there.

Friends of ours took their kids to see Remy and reported they had a lot of fun with it! I'm not sure if they do it only over lunchtime but I'd say give it a go if you can. A new experience is always good right? :)

Remy has had some technical difficulties lately, so be prepared to miss him if he's "on vacation". There's really no way of knowing if he's going to be around or not.

And Remy doesn't appear at all on Sundays or past 5:30-ish on regular visits. Not sure if it was 5:20 or 5:40, but he doesn't stick around for the dinner rush.

If you are expecting a traditional Character meal , you are going to be disappointed.Remy is a small little critter that rolls thru the dining room on a serving cart at set times and does some interaction. If you are NOT in your seats, or are not seated on time, he does not COME BACK.Once he rolls thru, he is done.He does it a few times a day, and has been known to not appear at all and with NO prior notice, if he is having techincal issues that day.I have managed to see him 1x in 4 attempts now.

Thanks for the feedback. I feel alot better and will keep the ADR. Let's hope there are no issues and Remy appears.

It may be too late, but it's generally suggested that parents not promise young children (or anyone else who will be extraordinarily disappointed by a non-appearance) a visit from Remy.

This is Remy's current schedule. The times designate the time he actually enters the dining room.

Inside Les Chefs de France.
Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm

The above post is correct. If you're seated after he passes, he won't return. People are also not permitted to approach him. You must wait until he arrives at your table.
