Chefs de France without an ADR

I've been planning our mini WDW vacation for months and have been asking DH and DS13 for some input, but they both said whatever I plan is fine. Now two days before we leave, DH says he wants to go to France for dinner. I said there's no way we'd get a ADR now. So, he wants to know if we can walk up and ask for a table just to get appetizers. What do you think our chances are of doing that? We'll be at Epcot this Saturday.

Why not try to get an ADR now? Try online and you won't have to call. I just recently got one for December 8.

Lunch ADRs at Chefs de France can be had with little or no planning (twice in the last two years, I have made an ADR for lunch that very morning). Dinner ADRs may be harder. There is no bar area to eat in where you can just order appetizers. You may do okay if you try to go at an off time (like a very early dinner). I would not rule out getting an ADR if you try now - call or go online to see what is available.

I think you might have a better chance getting in there for lunch. Be there right when they open and get your name on the list. If you're set on dinner, keep looking for an open timeslot online through the WDW reservation system. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/epcot/dining/les-chefs-de-france/reservations/ If you have internet access while you're there, keep checking a night or two before, even the day of. There are often last minute cancellations. You never know. We managed to make an ADR for Kona Cafe at the Polly last Friday morning for 6:00 PM that night, so it's possible to get something on short notice.

We have an ADR at Coral Reef for lunch. I planned to go to Seasons for dinner so we could eat whenever we wanted and didn't have to be tied down to another ADR. This is also kind of a budget trip. I like to do TS for lunch and CS for dinner to save money. DS and I don't want to give up our lunch ADR at Coral Reef (we love the fish). Maybe DH will be more involved in the planning next time, since he's probably not going to get what he wants now.
