I was thinking of taking my 3 daughters (ages 4,8,11) to Chefs de France for lunch. I don't see a lot of kid-friendly choices on the menu.

Has anyone brought children here before?

Any opinions?

Thanks!

O.K., sorry about that. I just saw the Children's Menu-it was listed separately.

Still, I'd love to hear some experiences.

We went there with DD last year (she was 2 1/2) and they had chicken strips with pasta on the kids' menu. It was probably one of our less relaxing experiences because they gave us a table for 4 (we were 5) with a chair stuck on the end. The tables are kind of tight in there anyway so now we were really tight! I didn't want to put dd on the end chair because she'd be right on top of our dining neighbors so DH had to sit there. Once the plates came everything was so tight on our table that DH knocked his water over and it went everywhere!!! I like to have a little more room to spread out when we're with DD.

I find that all the Epcot TS places have tables VERY close to each other, it's not just Chefs de France. Kind of a pet peeve of mine.

Anyway, Chefs is a fine place to bring the kids. It's a bustling, sort of noisy place, very family-friendly. I love the food, have never had a bad meal there, and always see plenty of little ones.

I had lunch there in March with my daughters (8 and 14). They both really enjoyed the meal (as did I).

We went for our grand gathering last year and will be returning this year. We had kids ages 9, 7, 5, 2. They all did fantastic. They had great kids picks. We were actually seated at a very large long table. It was our favorite meal of the trip. The waitress gave great suggestions and the kids loved the Ratatoulle theme menu and chefs hat thing.

Hey SuzieQ,

We ate dinner here last August. It was just "ok" for us. The kids didn't really like it. Jake had the flounder, didn't like the way it was prepared. Justin had the breaded chicken, said it was yucky. They did like dessert though-go figure!!

I had the vegetable lasagna and found the stickers from the veges in it. By the time a server came around it was too late to put another one in for me. Found the service slow here. They didn't charge me for it! I think your brother had the half of rotisserie chicken. He said it was good.

The kids did like the ratatouille menus that turn into chef hats!:tink:

We had dinner here in Nov with our boys. One had the kids pasta w/ chicken strip and the other had salmon from the adult menu. I had chicken. Everything was really, really good, especially the desserts. There were many families with kids. The restaurant is very pretty inside. :)

My kids love it! But now that they are 10 and 12, they usually just split the mac and cheese from the adult menu, along with a bowl of soup.

Started taking DS there when he was 4, and it is one of his Favorites still. DD likes it to.

We ate there last summer with DD16 & DS13. My kids were not impressed. Our kids ended up eating the meals we ordered, and we ate theirs. Both of them originally ordered the veg lasagna. We ordered the salmon and chicken which our kids ate. The few bites we each had of our original meals was significantly better than the lasagna. On the other hand, the kids had no problem with dessert there:rotfl2: .

When I was there in Dec 2007 there were a lot of kids (of all ages) in the restaurant. My son (2 1/2 at the time) enjoyed his meal and while he wasn't running around and screaming, no one cared that there was a young child next to them. My daughter (4 1/2 at the time) had fallen asleep in her stroller and they were very nice and allowed us to wheel her up to the end of the table. We always have some paper and crayons for the kids, just in case. I have to agree with what everyone else said about the desserts - yum!
