Gonna cross off Chefs de France on our upcoming trip! On the DP so it looks like getting the prix fixe only gets you an app...but you lose the option of some of the entrees. Anyone ever try both ways....is it worth it?TIA!

We just ate there a few days ago. Not in the dining plan, but I had the prix fixe meal. You get appetizer, entree & dessert. I had the lobster bisque, ( it was delicious!), beef bourguignon & the chocolate cake for dessert. There are 4 options for entree: beef, chicken, salmon & Mac & cheese. The apps are either soup, salad & cheese board I think & any dessert.

Everything was full sized portions & delicious. I paid out of pocket & to me, for $40, it is a good value. I was going to order those items any way. It ends up about 2 bucks for dessert.

Using the DDP, DD & I have picked items from the prix fix (app, full size entree & dessert) menu. DH picks from the regular menu (he likes the escargot, so pays OOP for the app). We have always been happy with the choices on the prix fix menu. Apps - DD picks the french onion soup, which is very good & a full portion, Entree - beef bourguignon, again very tasty & a full portion, Dessert - varies on what she is in the mood for...lol I have chosen the salad as an app - again, full portion & the Lyon style chicken - which is very good and a dessert.

Looking forward to our dinner here this summer!

Were you only going BECAUSE it has a prix fixe option? Not everyone in your party has to get it. You can get entree and app from regular menu and dining companion(s) can still order the prix fixe meal.

But I will add I have also done the prix fixe with the beef option and felt it was a good deal. I love CdF!
